Questa locomotiva della classe Stanier n. 45231 Sherwood Forester è stata costruita nel 1936 per la London, Midland & Scottish Railway.
Da allora ha funzionato in tutto il paese, dalle rotte nel Galles e nell'Inghilterra settentrionale durante la sua vita lavorativa, alle ferrovie storiche nell'Inghilterra meridionale alla bellissima linea Mallaig in Scozia, dove è stato girato Harry Potter.
Stanier Class no. 45231 Sherwood Forester was built in 1936 for the London, Midland & Scottish Railway.
Since then it has worked all over the country, from routes in Wales and Northern England in its working life, to heritage railways in Southern England to the beautiful Mallaig line in Scotland, where Harry Potter was filmed.

🇫🇷 Nous avons repris la route en direction de Konya ,passant par Beysehir. Pour couper la route ,une heure après notre départ d'Egirdir , une pause thé chez un potier ....Madame nous accueille .
🇬🇧 We headed back to Konya via Beysehir. To cut the journey short, an hour after leaving Egirdir we stopped for tea at a pottery ....

🇩🇪 Über Beysehir fuhren wir zurück nach Konya. Eine Stunde nach unserer Abfahrt in Egirdir machten wir eine Teepause bei einem Töpfer ......
Frau begrüßte uns.
🇪🇸 Regresamos a Konya vía Beysehir. Para acortar el viaje, tras salir de Egirdir una hora después, hicimos una pausa para tomar té en la casa de un alfarero.
La mujer que vivía allí nos dio la bienvenida.
🇮🇹 Siamo tornati a Konya passando per Beysehir. Per abbreviare il viaggio, un'ora dopo aver lasciato Egirdir, abbiamo fatto una sosta per il tè nella casa di un vasaio.
La signora che ci ha accolti era molto gentile.
🇫🇷 Le cloître de Bressanone est l'un des monuments artistiques les plus importants du Tyrol du Sud. Ses murs extérieurs bordent la cathédrale au nord, la cour des chanoines à l'est, l'école cathédrale et l'église Saint-Jean au sud, et l'église Notre-Dame à l'ouest. Il forme ainsi le centre de l'enceinte de la cathédrale. Sa cour presque carrée est encadrée par quatre arcades de différentes largeurs. Quinze des vingt arcades sont ornées de nombreuses fresques, principalement de style gothique tardif. La lampe funéraire en pierre, datant d'environ 1500, n'a été placée au centre de la cour qu'en 1928. Le cloître était autrefois un lieu de recueillement religieux.

Costituisce quindi il centro del recinto della cattedrale. Il suo cortile quasi quadrato è incorniciato da quattro arcate di larghezza variabile. Quindici delle venti arcate sono decorate con numerosi affreschi, principalmente in stile tardo gotico. La lampada funeraria in pietra, risalente al 1500 circa, fu collocata al centro del cortile solo nel 1928. Il chiostro era un tempo un luogo di meditazione religiosa.

Ein kräftiges Lasttier braucht es, um die schweren, mit Stahlcoils beladenen Ganzzüge, die mehrmals am Tag vom Genueser Hafen zum ArcelorMittal-Stahlwerk in Novi Ligure verkehren, über den Giovi-Pass zu wuchten, jene natürliche Barriere, die sich allen Verkehrsströmen entgegen stellt, die vom je nach Betrachtungsweise größten (Fläche) oder zweitgrößten (Güterumschlag) Seehafen Italiens in Richtung Poebene unterwegs sind.
Man könnte es vielleicht mal mit einem Esel versuchen? Doch will man ihm das wirklich zumuten, wenn er da so friedlich grasend im Schatten eines Baumes auf der saftigen Weide steht...? ;) Wohl eher nicht, wir sind ja schließlich keine Unmenschen! Vielleicht doch lieber auf einen Kaiman zurückgreifen, denn zumindest wenn der im Bahnsektor zu Hause ist, hat er ganz nebenbei auch noch ein paar Esels- bzw. Pferdestärken mehr auf seinen vier Beinen...pardon, sechs Achsen!
Die Rede ist natürlich vom legendären italienischen "Caimano", der kultigen Bo'Bo'Bo'-E-Lok mit dem Gelenk in Lokmitte, die ab 1975 in insgesamt sechs Serien an die Ferrovie dello Stato geliefert wurde und im Zuge eines Ideenwettbewerbs den Namen des Reptils erhielt. Im Herbst 2014 griff die FS-Gütersparte, die damals noch unter dem Namen Trenitalia Cargo firmierte, gerne auf eine solche Lok der Reihe E 655 für die Bespannung der Coilzüge am Giovi zurück, inklusive einer Schwesterlok zur Schubunterstützung am anderen Zugende. Der Bestand war trotz diverser Ausmusterungen noch üppig, ganz anders als fünfeinhalb Jahre später, wo die "Caimani" in ihren mutmaßlich allerletzten Zügen liegen, was den Regelbetrieb angeht...
Besonders gefreut haben wir uns am 23. Oktober 2014 allerdings, dass ein so sauberes Exemplar an der Spitze hing! Um kurz nach zehn kämpfte sich die Maschine mit MRS 54326 (Genova Sestri Ponente - Novi San Bovo) auf der Linea succursale dei Giovi bergwärts, wobei die dabei assistierende Schublok nicht mehr ganz in den Bildausschnitt auf dem Steinbogenviadukt von Campomorone passte. 700 Meter höher grüßt indes das Santuario di Nostra Signora della Guardia vom Berg.

... every two months, my Provincial Health Authority of Messina (Sicily) sends me on a mission for three days (from Taormina) to the Civil Hospital of Lipari, located in via Saint Anne ... In my spare time, free from commitments of work, I dedicate myself to my photographic passion; the photographs I present here were all taken in February of this year 2022; I took photos according to the dictates of street photography, I made some portraits, having always met people in the hand and very willing to let themselves be photographed (maybe ... that the islanders are open-minded, eager and used to communicate with strangers ..?!), some portraits were made of people intent on their work, some fishermen were intent on repairing their nets, a lady showed me one of her beautiful work, a blanket she made with knitting needles , hanging on her balcony (it reminded me of the shawls my grandmother made, also made with hand knitting needles); all the photos were taken in the city of Lipari, except three, taken in the dark in the port of Milazzo, the port of departure and arrival with hydrofoils (but there is also the ship) for the Aeolian Islands.
….ogni due mesi, la mia Azienda Sanitaria Provinciale di Messina, mi manda in missione per tre giorni (da Taormina) all’Ospedale Civile di Lipari, situato in via Sant’Anna …Nei ritagli di tempo, libero dagli impegni di lavoro, mi dedico alla mia passione fotografica; le fotografie che qui presento sono state tutte realizzate nel mese di febbraio di quest’anno 2022; ho realizzato foto secondo i dettami della fotografia di strada (street photography), ho realizzato alcuni ritratti, avendo incontrato sempre persone alla mano e molto disponibili nel lasciarsi fotografare (sarà forse…che la gente isolana è di mentalità aperta, desiderosa ed abituata a comunicare con gli estranei..?!), alcuni ritratti sono stati eseguiti a persone intente nei loro lavori, alcuni pescatori erano intenti a riparare le loro reti, una signora mi ha mostrato un suo bellissimo lavoro, una coperta da lei realizzata coi ferri a maglia, appesa nel suo balcone (mi ricordava gli scialli che realizzava mia nonna, anch’essi realizzati coi ferri a mano); tutte le foto sono state realizzate nella città di Lipari, tranne tre, realizzate col buio nel porto di Milazzo, scalo di partenza e di arrivo con gli aliscafi (ma c’è anche la nave) per le isole Eolie.

L'Albert Bridge è un ponte stradale sul fiume Tamigi che collega Chelsea a Battersea e fu completato nel 1873. In origine era un ponte a pedaggio, ma perché commercialmente senza successo, sei anni dopo la sua apertura fu dichiarato pubblico. I caselli sono rimasti sul posto e sono gli unici esempi ancora esistenti in città. Soprannominato "La signora tremolante" a causa della sua tendenza a vibrare quando un gran numero di persone vi camminavano, il ponte ha ancora cartelli al suo ingresso che chiedono alle truppe di rompere passo mentre attraversano il ponte. Nel 1992, è stato dipinto con colori insoliti al fine di renderlo più visibilile, ed evitare di essere danneggiato dalle imbarcazioni. Di notte è illuminato da 4.000 lampadine, che lo rendono uno dei monumenti più suggestivi della West London. Il suo attuale aspetto caratteristico e suggestivo ha portato al suo uso come ambientazione per numerosi film ambientati nella zona di Chelsea come Sliding Doors.
The Albert Bridge is a road bridge over the River Thames connecting Chelsea to Battersea and it was completed in 1873. Originally it was a toll bridge but because commercially unsuccessful, six years after its opening it was taken into public ownership. The tollbooths remained in place and are the only surviving examples in London. Nicknamed "The Trembling Lady" because of its tendency to vibrate when large numbers of people walked over it, the bridge has signs at its entrances that warned troops to break step whilst crossing the bridge. In 1992, the Albert Bridge was rewired and painted in an unusual colour scheme designed to make it more conspicuous in poor visibility, and avoid being damaged by ships. At night it is illuminated by 4,000 bulbs, making it one of West London's most striking landmarks. Its distinctive and striking current appearance has led to its use as a backdrop for numerous films set in the Chelsea area like Sliding Doors.

This is another building at the market square at Ludwigsburg. "La Signora Moro" is a lovely Italian restaurant which I rather visit in summer when you can sit outside on a warm evening but for photos it looks better at this time of year with the Christmas decorations.

L'angolo delle acidofile nel quale in questa stagione spicca la vistosa fioritura della camelia invernale.
Sono particolarmente orgoglioso di questa pianta che ha superato i 3 metri di altezza. Quest'anno, al momento, è una pianta fortunata, le piogge che normalmente cadono ai primi di novembre non si sono viste per cui i numerosissimi fiori sono ancora tutti (o quasi) al loro posto naturale.
The Shrine of Nostra Signora della Guardia ("Our Lady of the Watch") is a Roman Catholic place of pilgrimage located on the top of Monte Figogna (804 m asl) in the Municipality of Ceranesi, about 20 kilometres (12 miles) from the city of Genoa, in the northwest of Italy.
It is the most important Marian shrine in Liguria.
The name “Guardia” in Italian means “watch”, and the shrine is so called because in the Middle Ages Mount Figogna was a strategic observation station for monitoring the movement of armies along the Valpolcevera and of ships on the sea in the approaches to Genoa.

Il santuario di Nostra Signora della Guardia - conosciuto più semplicemente come santuario della Guardia o la Guardia - è il più importante santuario mariano della Liguria e uno dei più importanti d'Italia.
Edificato sulla vetta del monte Figogna, a 804 m s.l.m., è situato nel territorio del comune di Ceranesi, a circa 20 km da Genova. Il santuario è così chiamato poiché il monte sul quale sorge, era nell'antichità un punto strategico per l'osservazione di navi o di eserciti nemici.

All the photos I present were taken on the beaches of Taormina and its surroundings (Sicily-Italy); I made photos related to "beach photography" (a genre similar to "street photography");
I photographed on a beach a young lady who, leaning her smartphone against a paper bag, in order to self-portray, assumed statuesque and plastic poses for "artistics selfies"; … .I photographed a couple of lovers entwined with each other, regardless of everything that was around "their world"; ... I photographed young and old people ... with a great desire for the sea and a great desire to dive into the wather to swim (even if the sea water is still a little cold now ...); I made some photo-portraits of people I didn't know, I thank them very much for their sympathy and their availability; I tried to capture the essence of minimal photographic stories, collected walking along the beaches ... in search of fleeting moments ...
I used a particular photographic technique for some photographs at the time of shooting, which in addition to capturing the surrounding space, also "inserted" a temporal dimension, with photos characterized by being moved because the exposure times were deliberately lengthened, they are confused -focused-imprecise-undecided ... the Anglo-Saxon term that encloses this photographic genre with a single word is "blur", these images were thus created during the shooting phase, and not as an effect created subsequently, in retrospect, in the post-production

Tutte le foto che presento sono state realizzate sulle spiagge di Taormina e dintorni (Sicilia-Italia); ho realizzato foto riconducibili alla “beach photography” (un genere affine alla “street photography”);
ho fotografato su di una spiaggia una giovane signora che, appoggiato ad una busta di carta il suo smartphone, in modo da autoritrarsi, assumeva delle pose statuarie e plastiche da “selfie artistico”; ….ho fotografato una coppia di innamorati tra loro avvinghiati, incuranti di tutto ciò che stava attorno “al loro mondo”; …ho fotografato persone giovani e meno giovani…con tanta voglia di mare e tanta voglia di immergersi in acqua per fare qualche nuotata (anche se l’acqua del mare adesso è ancora un po’ fredda…); ho realizzato dei foto-ritratti di persone che non conoscevo, le ringrazio veramente tanto per la loro simpatia e la loro disponibilità; ho cercato di cogliere al volo l’essenza di storie fotografiche minime, raccolte camminando sulle spiagge... alla ricerca di attimi fugaci s-fuggenti ...
Ho utilizzato per alcune fotografie una tecnica fotografica particolare al momento dello scatto, che oltre a catturare lo spazio circostante, ha "inserito" anche una dimensione temporale, con foto caratterizzate dall’essere mosse poiché volutamente sono stati allungati i tempi di esposizione, sono confuse-sfocate-imprecise-indecise...il termine anglosassone che racchiude con una sola parola questo genere fotografico è "blur", queste immagini sono state così realizzate in fase di scatto, e non come un effetto creato successivamente, a posteriori, in fase di post-produzione.---------------------------------------------------------

La città di Bosa sorge nella valle del fiume Temo, il solo navigabile in Sardegna. La città è famosa per la lavorazione e l’esportazione del corallo, così come per la lavorazione dei tessuti, per i ricami di filet e per i cesti intrecciati in asfodelo.
Il paese è immerso nelle verdeggianti vallate della Planargia, zona particolarmente rinomata per la tradizione enogastronomica e per la qualità dell’olio e dei vini. Uno fra essi, la Malvasia, ha meritato anche il marchio DOC, e gli è stato dedicato un itinerario che parte da Bosa e raggiunge gli altri paesi produttori di questo vino, ossia Modolo, Magomadas, Suni e Flussio.
Per gli amanti del trekking e del birdwatching, è possibile ammirare lo spettacolo offerto dalla Riserva naturale di Badde Aggiosu, Marrargiu e Monte Mannu. Per gli amanti dello snorkeling, invece, è consigliata una visita al Parco Biomarino di Capo Marrargiu.
Il Castello dei Malaspina, sul colle di Serravalle, contiene al suo interno una chiesa, la Chiesa di Nostra Signora di Regnos Altos, che conserva affreschi della scuola catalana.
Nei pressi del paese si trova la spiaggia di Bosa Marina, che si è aggiudicata cinque vele nella Guida Blu di Legambiente. Dalla spiaggia si ammira la Torre del Porto dell'Isola Rossa, in stile aragonese.
The town of Bosa is situated in the Valley of the River Temo, the only navigable in Sardinia. The city is famous for the manufacture and export of coral, as well as for the processing of tissues for filet embroidery and woven baskets in Asphodel.
The village is nestled in the verdant valleys of Planargia, particularly renowned for its gastronomic traditions and for the quality of the oil and wines. One of them, Malvasia, deserved even the DOC, and the brand was dedicated an itinerary that departs from Bosa and reaches the other wine-producing countries, namely Malonzo, Magomadas, Suni and Flussio.
For hikers and bird watchers, it is possible to admire the spectacle offered by the Badde Aggiosu nature reserve, Marrargiu and Monte Mannu. For snorkelers, instead, it is recommended a visit to the marine ecology of Cape Marrargiu Park.
The castle of Malaspina, on colle di Serravalle, contains within it a church, the Church of Nostra Signora di Regnos Altos, which preserves frescoes of the Catalan school.
Near the village there is the beach of Bosa Marina, who has won five sails Legambiente blue Guide. From the beach you can admire the Torre del Port of Isola Rossa, aragonese style.
La Signora Moro is a very populat Italian restaurant at Ludwigsburg. I love it in summer when you can sit outside on a warm evening, enjoy a pizzy and the lovely view over the market place. Eating outside wouldn't be a great idea now even if they have some pretty Christmas decorations.

... every two months, my Provincial Health Authority of Messina (Sicily) sends me on a mission for three days (from Taormina) to the Civil Hospital of Lipari, located in via Saint Anne ... In my spare time, free from commitments of work, I dedicate myself to my photographic passion; the photographs I present here were all taken in February of this year 2022; I took photos according to the dictates of street photography, I made some portraits, having always met people in the hand and very willing to let themselves be photographed (maybe ... that the islanders are open-minded, eager and used to communicate with strangers ..?!), some portraits were made of people intent on their work, some fishermen were intent on repairing their nets, a lady showed me one of her beautiful work, a blanket she made with knitting needles , hanging on her balcony (it reminded me of the shawls my grandmother made, also made with hand knitting needles); all the photos were taken in the city of Lipari, except three, taken in the dark in the port of Milazzo, the port of departure and arrival with hydrofoils (but there is also the ship) for the Aeolian Islands.
….ogni due mesi, la mia Azienda Sanitaria Provinciale di Messina, mi manda in missione per tre giorni (da Taormina) all’Ospedale Civile di Lipari, situato in via Sant’Anna …Nei ritagli di tempo, libero dagli impegni di lavoro, mi dedico alla mia passione fotografica; le fotografie che qui presento sono state tutte realizzate nel mese di febbraio di quest’anno 2022; ho realizzato foto secondo i dettami della fotografia di strada (street photography), ho realizzato alcuni ritratti, avendo incontrato sempre persone alla mano e molto disponibili nel lasciarsi fotografare (sarà forse…che la gente isolana è di mentalità aperta, desiderosa ed abituata a comunicare con gli estranei..?!), alcuni ritratti sono stati eseguiti a persone intente nei loro lavori, alcuni pescatori erano intenti a riparare le loro reti, una signora mi ha mostrato un suo bellissimo lavoro, una coperta da lei realizzata coi ferri a maglia, appesa nel suo balcone (mi ricordava gli scialli che realizzava mia nonna, anch’essi realizzati coi ferri a mano); tutte le foto sono state realizzate nella città di Lipari, tranne tre, realizzate col buio nel porto di Milazzo, scalo di partenza e di arrivo con gli aliscafi (ma c’è anche la nave) per le isole Eolie.

All the photos I present were taken on the beaches of Taormina and its surroundings (Sicily-Italy); I made photos related to "beach photography" (a genre similar to "street photography");
I photographed on a beach a young lady who, leaning her smartphone against a paper bag, in order to self-portray, assumed statuesque and plastic poses for "artistics selfies"; … .I photographed a couple of lovers entwined with each other, regardless of everything that was around "their world"; ... The celebrations were born in honor of Our Lady of Suffragio, Patron and Protector of Recco. The festival is organized by the 7 Districts of Recco, Bastia, Collodari, Liceto, Ponte, San Martino, Spiaggia and Verzemma who compete in two days of high-level fireworks displays.

I photographed this incredibly detailed and heartfelt Nativity scene at the Presepe Storico della signora Italia in Peschici, a charming coastal town in the Gargano region.
What struck me most was the artisanal craftsmanship and how every figure seems to tell a quiet story. The moss-covered roof, the rustic wooden beams, and the lively stream of characters bring the scene to life with a nostalgic, almost cinematic flair.
Through the lens, I wanted to capture not just a traditional nativity, but a tableau of human warmth and rural devotion — a tribute to the timeless spirit of Christmas that quietly resists the passing of time (and commercial chaos).

Ho scattato questa fotografia al Presepe Storico della signora Italia a Peschici, una perla del Gargano.
Mi ha colpito la cura minuziosa dei dettagli e la capacità di ogni statuina di raccontare una piccola storia. Il tetto ricoperto di muschio, le travi in legno, i personaggi sparsi lungo il sentiero… sembrano usciti da un film d’altri tempi.
Con questa foto ho cercato di fermare un momento di bellezza semplice e genuina: un presepe che non è solo una tradizione, ma un racconto corale di umanità, affetto e memoria, che resiste (con grazia) al logorio della modernità.
