Una fra le più conosciute e antiche vecchie latterie è questa di Vicolo del Gallo e che appartiene alla Signora Anna. Siamo alle spalle di Piazza campo dei Fiori e questo posto è rimasto davvero fuori dal tempo. La presentazione dei prodotti è rimasta del tutto spartana, l'accoglienza qui, oggi, non è troppo calorosa , ma comunque cordiale. Si può domandare una tazza di latte e ti portano quelle caratteristiche grandi tazze, che si usavano una volta a casa. Sembra davvero di tornare indietro di 50 anni compreso il vecchio flipper che è in mezzo al bar. Sappiate che qui è tutto vecchissimo e profuma di storia, dalle tazze (come evidenti nella foto), passando per i cucchiaini , il bancone del bar, i vecchi frigoriferi e l’enorme collezione di lattine vuote: tutte rigorosamente “vintage”,. Potete stare sicuro che dopo un ‘ora qui dentro non rimpiangerete assolutamente i banconi ultramoderni dei bar attuali. Posso garantire , per esperienza personale, che negli anni ’70 tutto era identico a ciò che si vede ancora oggi. I tavoli in marmo e quelli in legno sono gli stessi. Le paste dolci sono sempre enormi e buonissime. Credo che questa antica latteria di Roma dovrebbe essere patrimonio dell’umanità . Per turisti e residenti è “obbligato” il passaggio, per respirare quelle atmosfere passate. Chiaramente il gioco è illusorio. Il set è rimasto lo stesso, ma l’atmosfera con l’ambiente fumoso (nei locali pubblici si poteva fumare), i tavolini di marmo pieni e principalmente gli interpreti sono enormemente cambiati. Allora, negli anni ’70 era realmente “ una fabbrica di sogni”.
One of the best known and oldest old dairies is this Vicolo del Gallo and that belongs to the Lady Anna . We are behind Piazza Campo dei Fiori and this place was really out of time. The presentation of products has remained quite basic, the reception here today , is not too warm , but still friendly . You can ask for a cup of milk and bring you the great features cups, which were used once at home. It really seems to go back 50 years including the old pinball machine that is in the middle of the bar. Know that everything here is very old and smells of history , from the cups ( as evident in the photo) , through the spoons, the bar , the old refrigerators and the huge collection of empty cans : all strictly "vintage " . You can be sure that after a ' now here you will not regret absolutely counters ultramodern bars today. I can assure you , from personal experience, that in the '70s everything was identical to what you see today. The marble tables and wooden ones are the same. The pastries are always huge and delicious . I think this old dairy in Rome should be the heritage of humanity. For tourists and residents is "forced" the passage , to breathe the atmosphere of the past . Clearly the game is illusory. The set remained the same , but the atmosphere with the smoky environment ( you could smoke in public places ) , the marble tables full and mainly interpreters are greatly changed. Then , in the 70s it was really, "Dreams' factory "
Chiesa di Nostra Signora del Pilar (anno 1318 )
La chiesa, un tempo dedicata a San Ranieri, offre un dato non comune nell'architettura medioevale sarda: da un'epigrafe, posta in facciata in alto a s. rispetto al rosone, non solo si ricava la data di edificazione, il 1318, ma si apprende anche il nome del costruttore, Arzocco de Garnas.
Della chiesa romanica resta soltanto la facciata, in pietra sedimentaria. Le forme attuali dell'edificio si devono alla ricostruzione tra il XIV e il XVI secolo.
La facciata è divisa in tre specchi. Quello centrale ospita il portale, con stipiti intessuti nella muratura e capitelli con decoro a foglia. Sull'architrave monolitico, di recente inserimento, insistono una lastra modanata e l'arco di scarico semicircolare, ribattuto da un sopracciglio decorato a foglie e impostato su due mensole scolpite rispettivamente con una testa umana e una animale.
In asse col portale si trova un rosone lobato dotato di cornice con ornato a foglia. Alla sua sinistra si trova il rombo, internamente liscio, che ospita la citata epigrafe. Al di sotto del rosone una cornice orizzontale a decoro vegetale ospita, al centro, le figure di Eva e del serpente.
Lo specchio centrale è concluso da una teoria di archetti a tutto sesto su peducci dall'ornato a foglie; alla sommità è impostato un campanile a vela dotato di due luci ogivali, in asse con il portale e con il rosone.
Gli specchi laterali si concludono con archetti a sesto acuto, che seguono il profilo della copertura e poggiano su peducci decorati con motivi vegetali e teste umane.
Sull'ampio sagrato si trova una colonna alla cui sommità è situata una croce giurisdizionale di epoca spagnola.
Church of Our Lady of the Pillar (year 1318)
The church, once dedicated to San Ranieri, offers an uncommon fact in Sardinian medieval architecture: from an epigraph, placed on the facade at the top of the s. with respect to the rose window, not only do we get the date of construction, 1318, but we also learn the name of the builder, Arzocco de Garnas.
Only the facade, in sedimentary stone, remains of the Romanesque church. The current forms of the building are due to the reconstruction between the fourteenth and sixteenth centuries.
The facade is divided into three mirrors. The central one houses the portal, with jambs woven into the masonry and capitals with leaf decoration. On the monolithic architrave, recently inserted, there is a molded slab and the semicircular discharge arch, riveted by an eyebrow decorated with leaves and set on two shelves carved respectively with a human and an animal head.
In axis with the portal there is a lobed rose window with a frame with leaf decoration. To its left is the rhombus, smooth inside, which houses the aforementioned epigraph. Below the rose window, a horizontal frame with a plant decoration houses, in the center, the figures of Eve and the snake.
The central mirror is concluded by a theory of round arches on corbels with leaf decoration; at the top there is a bell gable with two ogival lights, aligned with the portal and with the rose window.
The side mirrors end with pointed arches, which follow the profile of the roof and rest on corbels decorated with plant motifs and human heads.
On the large churchyard there is a column at the top of which there is a jurisdictional cross from the Spanish era.

Ein Blick auf Chiavari von der ca. 600 Jahre alten Kirche "Santuario Nostra Signora delle Grazie" aus. In der Mitte des Bildes ist die Flussmündung des Torrente Entella zu erahnen. Vom unteren Bildrand bis zum Fluß erstreckt sich Chiavari, dahinter, auf der südöstlichen Seite beginnt Lavagna.
In Chiavari, am linken Stadtrand gibt es eine dunkelgrüne Region mit 2 Gebäuden mit Türmen. Das ist der botanische Garten. An dessen Fuß, und noch eine Straße weiter in die Stadt hinein befand sich unsere Ferienwohnung. Von diesem Blick aus ca. 3 km Luftlinie.
Am Horizont sieht man einen kleineren, bewaldeten Hügel im Wasser. An dessen Rückseite liegt die Baia del Silenzio aus den vorherigen beiden Bildern. Das ist von der Stelle, an welcher wir hier stehen, ca. 10 km Luftlinie entfernt.

Yangon, 19 giu. - (Adnkronos/Dpa) - La leader dell'opposizione democratica birmana Aung San Suu Kyi ha compiuto oggi 64 anni nel carcere di Insein, dove e' stata rinchiusa con l'apertura del processo a suo carico a Yangon. Circa 300 esponenti della sua Lega Nazionale per la Democrazia (Nld) hanno liberato oggi colombe bianche davanti alla sede del partito, augurando il suo pronto rilascio.
"Liberate la signora Aung San Suu Kyi", hanno gridato i sostenitori della premio Nobel per la Pace, usando come al solito il titolo di rispetto Daw (signora). Suu Kyi ha trascorso agli arresti domiciliari 14 degli ultimi 20 anni, dopo che la giunta militare che governa il Myanmar (Birmania) ha annullato le elezioni vinte dalla Nld. L'ultima condanna terminava il 27 maggio, ma dal 3 maggio la leader democratica e' sotto processo con l'accusa di aver violato i termini degli arresti domiciliari, dopo che un mormone americano, John William Yettaw, si e' introdotto non invitato nella sua casa.

Around 300 representatives of her National League for Democracy (NLD) have today released white doves in front of the headquarters of the party, wishing his early release.
"Liberate Mrs. Aung San Suu Kyi," they shouted the supporters of the Nobel Prize for Peace, as usual using the title of respect Daw (Ms). Suu Kyi has spent under house arrest for 14 of the last 20 years, after the military junta that rules Myanmar (Burma) has annulled the elections won by the NLD. The last sentence ended May 27, but since the May 3 Democratic leader and 'on trial on charges that he violated the terms of house arrest, after an American Mormon, John William Yettaw, was' not invited introduced in his house.

The celebrations were born in honor of Our Lady of Suffragio, Patron and Protector of Recco. The festival is organized by the 7 Districts of Recco, Bastia, Collodari, Liceto, Ponte, San Martino, Spiaggia and Verzemma who compete in two days of high-level fireworks shows.

Location: Valdagno (Vicenza - Italy).
Subject: Valdagno is a nice town in northern Italy, renowned for textile industry. The lady depicted in my photo is called Carmela, and she is a reference for Valdagno's cookery. Carmela is the highest authority in preparing a dish called fritola, which is a batter made with flour and cooked rice, then deep-fried in form of pancake. The batter is typically seasoned with feverfew (Tanacetum parthenium), a weed with a bitter taste, which in Valdagno is known as maresina. The fritola con la maresina is Valdagno's characteristic dish, and it is cooked only in that town. This pic—shot in 2013 during an event called Festa d'Autunno [Autumn Fair], held yearly in Valdagno, where I was official photographer and social-media partner—together with other photos of mine is now part of an article on this subject, published by a famous Italian food and gastronomy review, Vie Del Gusto (June-July 2014 issue).
