This is the beautifully restored PRR HUNT tower in Huntingdon Pennsylvania. This tower is now the town visitor center and open to the public (however I arrived too late in the day to see the inside). This shot was taken in 2006

Nous avons d'abord identifié cette espèce L. rufus, forme à petites spores, mais l'analyse génétique de Jean Bérubé (concordance à 100 %) a confirmé qu'il s'agissait de L. badiosanguineus, espèce européenne aussi signalée par Kuo du Colorado et par Malloch de Terre-Neuve. Cette espèce est absente de la monographie sur les lactaires de Hesler et Smith. Elle se caractérise par son chapeau très foncé chez les jeunes qui pâlit avec l'âge.
Voici nos données :
Chapeau: 2,1-7,5 cm, très foncé chez les jeunes, de la couleur du foie, puis palissant avec l'âge
Lames crème brunâtre, serrées, adnées, fourchues près du pied
Pied 2,2-5,5 x 0,4-0,9 cm, rougeâtre, mais plus pâle que le chapeau.
Lait blanc, âcre, ne tachant pas les lames
Sporée crème.
Odeur fongique.
Spores 6-8 x 5,5-6,5 µm, partiellement réticulées et portant aussi des verrues isolées.
Basides 28-48 x 9-13 µm, tétrasporiques.
Pleuromacrocystides 40-70 x 7-13, subulées à subfusiformes.
Cheilocystides 30-40 x 7-11 µm, subulées, parfois mucronées
Pileipellis : ixotrichoderme.
Habitat : dans la litière d'épinette de Norvège, le 22 octobre 2011, dans la région de Montréal.

Zoals elk jaar organiseerde de Veluwse Stoomtrein Maatschappij (VSM) weer hun grootse stoomevenement Terug naar Toen. Dit jaar weer met veel stoom en dieselloks die diverse goederen en personentreinen reden tussen Apeldoorn en Dieren. Voor ons lag de nadruk vooral op de goederentreinen en enkele nieuwe fotomotieven (seinen die nieuw geplaats waren).
As every year, the Veluwe Steam Train Company (VSM) once again organized their largest steam event 'Terug naar Toen' (Return to the Past). This year again, many steam and dieselloks with various goods and passenger trains ran between Apeldoorn and Dieren. For us, the focus was mainly on freight trains and some new photo motifs (new signs that were placed).
Wie jedes Jahr, organisierte die Veluwe Dampf Zug Verein (VSM) wieder ihre größte Dampf Veranstaltung ' Zurück nach Damals'. In diesem Jahr zogen wieder Dampf und Dieselloks die verschiedene Güter und Personenzüge zwischen Apeldoorn und Dieren. Für uns war der Fokus vor allem auf Güterzüge und einige neue Fotomotive (neue Signale, die neu aufgestelt wurden).
This is NA tower in Ivorydale Ohio. This is a CSX (ex-B&O), CR (ex-NYC) tower. It closed in 1995. Excuse the bad lighting but whenever I see a tower no matter what time of the day I have to photograph them.
