Possibly the only Wright Streetcar in operating in the UK (others run in Las Vegas).
Although the StreetCar was developed for FirstGroup, this one has ended up with Go-Ahead London. This is because the Thameslink rail franchise was previously operated by FirstGroup, but was taken over by Go-Ahead, along with the 888 shuttle operation between Luton Airport and the Parkway station and its vehicles.
This example is a Volvo B7LA with Streetcar bodywork, and new to FirstGroup as its #19031 (YJ07LVX).
It started off with First West Yorkshire, operating a ordinary public bus route in Leeds. It was then sent to Luton for the Capital Connect shuttle operation, which was operated by different First subsidiaries over time: First Coaches, First Northampton and First Essex.

I'm not a particular collector of space related diecast models but will sometimes dabble if I find them interesting enough. I found a couple of three vehicle sets in a Chinese bazaar whilst out in Spain and the contents instantly looked recognisable. They are exactly the same ones offered at Smyths Toys in the UK thus making me think they were made by Xin Yu Toys. A look on their website reveals they AREN'T made by that Chinese toy company and unfortunately its packaging only gave the name of the importer so for the time being i've no idea who actually made this Space Shuttle Endeavour.
Quite a small casting in the same vein as the old Corgi Juniors equivalent and not featuring any opening cargo doors, basic but fun.

F804NAS was a Freight Rover 350D / Aitken C20F new as Inverness Traction C2 in Sptember 1988. It passed with the business to Alexanders of Aberdeen in July 1989, then to Magicbus in November 1989. Magvend t/a Shuttle Buses bought it in July 1990, and it was caught in Irvine. It was transferred to Boyd of Loans in September 1993, only to return to Shuttle Buses in January 1994. December 1995 saw it pass to Stark t/a Quarriers of Bridge of Weir. After that firm's demise it joined MacIver t/a Calm Horizons of Paisley, and on their demise Haldanes of Cathcart bought it in December 1996.
Since the arrival of Class 387s to Didcot, the Class 165 fleet has been largely confined to shuttles between Didcot Parkway & Oxford, pending the (eventual) wiring of the route.
Here, GWR no. 165104 rolls into Radley P1 working 2L48, the 1701 shuttle service from Didcot Parkway to Oxford.
Found this picture in my desk when I worked for Shuttle (1983-1987). I don't know the date of the photo or the names of the people in the picture. The bus looks fairly new - still has hood badge, no bus number on the door, no extra flashers on the bumper, and no block heater plug.

Shooting just the shuttle seemed boring so i shot this kid for awhile. He said afterwards to his parents "that was the best thing ever", he was so excited. It's pretty sad to think that his kids will probably never see a shuttle and he might not remember it..

Personal build challenge using two 30053: Republic Attack Cruiser sets. The windscreen piece is not part of this set, of course. Some parts were color-swapped. Reminds me of a Federation Shuttle.
Photo quality is terrible, as this photo was just meant to quickly catalogue a long-standing and previously undocumented MOC.

The two photos on the next page were taken from a camera mounted on the external fuel tank, looking up under the shuttle.
Note the triagle of the shuttle mount, which is prominent in the page 2 photos.

Space Shuttle Discovery (Orbiter Vehicle Designation: OV-103) is one of the orbiters from NASA's Space Shuttle program and the third of five built.[4] Its first mission, STS-41-D, flew from August 30 to September 5, 1984. Over 27 years of service it launched and landed 39 times, gathering more spaceflights than any other spacecraft to date.[5]
Discovery became the third operational orbiter to enter service, preceded by Columbia and Challenger.[6] It embarked on its last mission, STS-133, on February 24, 2011 and touched down for the final time at Kennedy Space Center on March 9,[7] having spent a cumulative total of almost a full year in space. Discovery performed both research and International Space Station (ISS) assembly missions. It also carried the Hubble Space Telescope into orbit. Discovery was the first operational shuttle to be retired, followed by Endeavour and then Atlantis.

'Warrington's Own Buses' again provided a 6A shuttle-service to the ever-popular Lymm Historic Transport Day on Sunday 23/09/19.
The service should have been provided by the company's preserved PD2/40; unfortunately, technical issues meant that the Leland was substituted by the slightly less historic bus 93.
The XS-87 Explorer Shuttle was built by the Alliance for the purpose of exploring the dangerous regions of the galaxy. With its Omega-class Anti-Ship cannon and robust shields, it can effectively defend itself against small and medium-sized enemy ships. The ship accommodates three crew members: a pilot, a mechanic, and a soldier. It is equipped with a small kitchen and bathroom, making it suitable for long explorations in the galaxy.

Mission also took advantage of opportunity to study fires set in British Columbia, Canada, for forest management purposes. Special readings were taken with another SRL element, Measurement of Air Pollution from satellites (MAPS), to gain better understanding of carbon monoxide emissions from burning forest. Flying for fourth time on the shuttle, MAPS is designed to measure global distribution of carbon monoxide.

The Space Shuttle thermal protection system (TPS) is the barrier that protected the Space Shuttle Orbiter during the searing 1,650 °C (3,000 °F) heat of atmospheric reentry. A secondary goal was to protect from the heat and cold of space while in orbit.
