"Macro Mondays" this week's theme "Summer Olympic Sports" HMM
Since 1992, badminton has been a Summer Olympic sport with five events: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles.
The shuttlecock cone is formed from 16 or so overlapping feathers, usually goose or duck, embedded into a rounded cork base. The cork is covered with thin leather. To ensure that shuttlecock rotate consistently, only feathers from the birds' left wings are used. Feather shuttles may come off the strings at speeds in excess of 320 km/h (200 mph).

...auch Wetron-Shuttle genannt, hier gezogen von der BLS 486 501, ist für mich einer der schönsten Auflieger-Züge die man im Mittelrheintal fotografieren kann. Durch zeitweilige Sperrungen auf der rechten Rheinseite gelang mir diese Aufnahme bei Boppard.

Luxury hotels offer free shuttle service by boat to cross the Chao Phraya River. So we enjoyed a free river trip in one of these beautiful wooden boats to a fence hotel where we didn't stay, just enjoyed a cocktail and back k by boat to the other side where we came from... :)

Afternoon light catching bare tree branches at the Temple of Sinawava, shuttle stop #9 on the Zion National Park loop. I visited on a whim on the return leg of a road trip and it ended up being one of the most satisfying vacation days of my life, thanks to fresh eyes, Fall light, and mild temperature.

De Duitse spoorweggigant is met vele locomotieven vertegenwoordigd in Europa.
De ene locomotief is uiteraard wel spannender dan de andere.
Daarom is het altijd hopen op wat leuks.
Goed, we gaan even terug naar het begin van de dag.
Op 22 juni 2021 zou de Oriënt Express naar de Nederlandse hoofdstad Amsterdam rijden.
Helaas gooiden problemen tussen Arth-Goldau en Zug in Zwitserland roet in het eten.
Zodoende reed deze trein zwaar vertraagd.
Kijkende naar dat deze mooie trein dan in het donker en rond middernacht pas eens in Nederland zou zijn werd hier maar vanaf gezien.
Daarom moest er een alternatief gezocht.
Zo werd er maar wat doelloos rondgereisd en werd uiteindelijk de avondspits op de bekende bulten bij Tilburg Reeshof doorgebracht.
Nu vond ik in combinatie met het statief voor filmen de kleinere bultjes niet zo fantastisch, dus werd er dichter richting de grote muur getrokken.
Hier passeerden gelukkig wel diverse mooie treinen.
De knaller was toch wel van de eerder genoemde Duitse spoorweggigant.
De fraaie Backbone kwam namelijk langs.
Om 16:50 passeerde de 193 318 van DB Cargo namelijk met een beladen Combinant-Shuttle ons.
Komende vanuit Duitsland en rijdende richting Roosendaal en het Belgische Antwerpen passeerde deze fraaie locomotief tot onze grote blijdschap ons.
During Alpini's Feast in Biella a lot of trains were deployed to withstand the very high demand of visitors coming to the event. To this purpose, a longer diesel shuttle trainset, which hasn't been running on these tracks for decades, was brought up from Tuscany to work extraordinary runs with larger capacity. In the picture, the D.445.1100 is pushing its train from Biella to Novara while passing nearby Sillavengo.
BNSF's Cheyenne Local power consisting of EMD SD70MAC No. 9880 and GE ES44AC No. 6229 shuttle the Alliance to Portland high-priority intermodal train north through Norfolk, Colorado, on June 26, 2023. Once the train gets to Cheyenne, the power will be taken off and the local crew will add the original power back on before it detours over the Union Pacific west of Cheyenne.

So I rewatched the scene this shuttle was featured in and I saw that it was a bit different than the version in the concept art, so I added some stuff to finish it off while working on the other version...

Earth’s atmosphere has five layers between the surface of the planet and space. In this image of the Shuttle Endeavor approaching ISS in 2010 we can see the Troposphere (Orange), the Statosphere (White), and the Mesosphere (Blue) from the light of the sun. The next two layers out are the Thermosphere and Exosphere. The driver of 37410 "Aluminium 100" gives me a quizzical look as I was making my way to the old bridge parapet you can see on the right. This was a shuttle service running in connection with Wales playing Australia in Cardiff. 2Z53 1058 Gloucester - Cardiff.

6029 leads the last shuttle of the day from Picton back to Thirlmere, seen here climbing Redbank with the shadows leaving just enough of a gap for most of the loco to still be lit. 4001 is on the rear assisting.
I know this hard to believe but this is the Space Shuttle Endeavor linked to the Space Station as it passed over NH last night. Tonight it will be seen again at 9:17 and we will have clear sky's.
I knew I needed to be on the south side of the bridge for the best light. I then searched around for an hour for a suitable foreground. I liked the lines of the roadway, the counter balance of the boat under the bridge. I'm very happy with the finished product.
The Light Space2Surface shuttle is a commonly used vehicle throughout the galaxy. When you feel the urge to swoop along the surface on some unfamiliar moon on your ZeroG-Board you need some kind of quick transportation to take you down there.

This is my entry in the Classic Space Era Spaceship competition on Eurobricks. It has foldable landing gear and the traveller can snap their board in the rear.
ERS ha coltivato nel tempo una capillare rete di collegamenti che da Rotterdam si irradiano verso l'intera Europa centrale fino a Melzo in Italia.
Una delle recenti "estensioni" ha visto le Br189 del gruppo anglo-olandese raggiungere la Polonia con il "Poznan Shuttle".
Nella foto lo vediamo transitare lentamente, rallentato da un regionale da poco transitato, sulla Berlin-Frankfurth Oder presso lo scalo merci di Koepenick. (21/5/14)
