Thank you so much for your support! 💕💕💕
Quicky test version to make sure the pattern size I had chosen was the right size. It was, which is kinda weird. Turns out, in this pattern, I'm an XS, which I wouldn't have figured. Anyway, I figured it was worth making a quicky prototype before I went cutting out my pricey quilting cotton and I have reams of this in the basement from some sheets I once cut up for another project.
This a side view of the jacket pretty much complete. I am concerned about the puckers here. Probably due to no interfacing and quilting of the fabric to lining. When I add shoulder pads it helps remove some of this. I will cover a shoulder pad if I can not find one covered in black at JoAnn's.
formerly a wrap vest. i added fabric from an old bathrobe onto the neckline. the light blue piping was much easier than i thought. and the broach is a recycled button from my button jar.
Here's my first sewing project for 2008. It's a crochet hook case made from McCall's Craft Pattern #M4728. It's a little wonky, the batting bunched up in a place or two even though I basted the heck out of it.
I finally wrote up the tutorial for making these round pot holders that I used to make and sell in my retail store. You can check it out at Stitch and Boots:
