Front view after the top was shortened. I still could take out some fullness in the front at the waist. I retraced the front pattern and used a different FBA method on that pattern piece. Will be cutting out the new top tomorrow.

Dress front with facings attached, ribbon drawstring inserted. Ribbon appears shining and a little off color in photo but in reality it is same shade as dress.
The pile of vintage-full projects I made at the Dottie Angel workshop a few weeks ago, waiting for a sunny day to be photographed & worn & hung up around my home. :) For now, they keep my desk cheery!

I made the hoodie in September, my first attempt at sewing with stretch fabric. This photo was taken by my daughter while I was away. He's still wearing it in January, and it hasn't fallen apart.

Added to February 2011's Scavenger hunt as #14 "14" for the 14 jewels I found to grace my dress (phew! Didn't think I'd find this one!)
This beautiful skirt was inspired by an over priced J. Crew tulle skirt. I made a prototype in créme with vintage fabric and this is the second one with much improvement. It features a back hidden zipper and hook-and-eyelet security closure. It is fully lined, hand hemmed, and has a velvet ribbon waist lining.
