Margit, My first Cloth Doll. All materials sourced during our fall trip to Budapest, 2015. Body and clothings are all upcycled duvet covers found at charity shops. Hair (that gorgeous Malabrigo Lace) and Scarf (Alize Bamboo) were found in a hidden courtyard shop. Pattern made and stitching begun under gorgeous 20 ft ceilings. Margit sports two dresses (one short and one long, which she can layer) and a full head of hand-knotted hair which can be parted and gently styled.
Taaaa daaaaa! Started this project last year but had to put it aside while I worked on some Christmas and bday prezzies. Finally finished it Monday night. :D
Dyed the brush cotton and hand painted the sleeves with fabric paint.
Working on a quick toy rescue sewing project while I wait on supplies for my doll tote. I really want to sew something for myself for the coming warmer weather but we are expecting snow on Saturday, so I guess there is no hurry.😜

I did it!!!! 5 work dresses completed. I may well look reasonably professional over the next few weeks of hell...but no-one actually has a clue what's happening!!! my final 'work dress' New Look 6411 pattern, in some rather lovely cotton from Minerva Crafts... run it up in a couple of hours and proper pleased with it. It will save me having to think about what to wear at 6.30am !!!
