This is my third sewingproject and again i'm very proud! I made this skirt with Bora's gardening kids fabric (for sale at spoonflowers.com)
It gives me so much pleasure to make clothes with Bora's adorable fabric!

My first tote bag! I made this from a pattern that I got from the All People Quilt website. The pattern is called Easy Breezy Tote.

The sewing group from Marrickville Place are selling for the first time at the Carriageworks' Artisan Market. Teachers and students are working on the stall, selling hats, bedspreads, pillow covers, tutus, bags, woollen brooches and much more. Some of the fabrics featured have been sourced direct from Afghanistan and Iran.

Margit, My first Cloth Doll. All materials sourced during our fall trip to Budapest, 2015. Body and clothings are all upcycled duvet covers found at charity shops. Hair (that gorgeous Malabrigo Lace) and Scarf (Alize Bamboo) were found in a hidden courtyard shop. Pattern made and stitching begun under gorgeous 20 ft ceilings. Margit sports two dresses (one short and one long, which she can layer) and a full head of hand-knotted hair which can be parted and gently styled.
I'm hoping to wear this outfit to the Alabama Renaissance Faire this October. It's a very brief and small Renfaire but it's only about 2 or so hours drive from here so perfect. I have two other dresses for other Faires that are much further and much larger but more on that another day!

3/20/2014: I so wanted to make a bustle for the event that I'm attending tomorrow; and I'm a bit short on time so I cut out these roses for the edging instead of doing the self-ruffles. This was much faster. With a bit of Liquid Stitch and some hand sewing, this bustle will be done in a snap. The roses come from a length of fabric that I bought on a whim (with no set project). And now it's come in handy!

Ben and I put in a lot of time this last week to get the Loki costume finished. Happy to have been able to sport the look last night for party #1!
This shows close up of trim I will use for this jacket. It is pinned on here. You can see a little gold flecks. This is one of the yarns I am using to interweave with the other yarns.
