Everything is better on Hawai'i, including the sunsets! What a magical place!

I was waiting for the super moon (which never ended up being visible due to the low cloud cover) and thought I'd share my surroundings with my flickr friends. :]

I was hoping to make the wildflower stand out against it`s surroundings and the setting sun and I think managed it.

At the corner of Houston and 12th Streets, downtown Ft. Worth, Texas. The building in the background is part of the Saint Patrick Cathedral complex.

Don't you wish you could do that? Take a boat and sail away to all the beautiful locations in the world. Well, thats exactly what I feel like doing right now :)

Anyway, I finally got time to dig around my images from the past and see if something catches my fancy. I seem to have ignored quite a few photos at that time, probably because there were too many others which needed my attention at that moment. I'm going to make a conscious effort to look back and dig some up and share them with you.

I took this shot about 6 months ago in the beautiful island of Boracay in Philippines, which was rated the no.1 beach destination in Asia by Tripadvisor.com. I don't know if it is the best in Asia but it surely is a fun beach destination where you could have a relaxed holiday lazing around the beach all day and go have a blast in the many popular night clubs in town.

I hope you guys had a good weekend!!

About Philippines

The Philippines, officially known as the Republic of the Philippines (Filipino: Republika ng Pilipinas), is a country in Southeast Asia in the western Pacific Ocean. To its north across the Luzon Strait lies Taiwan. West across the South China Sea sits Vietnam. The Sulu Sea to the southwest lies between the country and the island of Borneo, and to the south the Celebes Sea separates it from other islands of Indonesia. It is bounded on the east by the Philippine Sea. Its location on the Pacific Ring of Fire and its tropical climate make the Philippines prone to earthquakes and typhoons but have also endowed the country with natural resources and made it one of the richest areas of biodiversity in the world. An archipelago comprising 7,107 islands, the Philippines is categorized broadly into three main geographical divisions: Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao. Its capital city is Manila.

Out walking Pup, I was lucky to catch this this evening ... two seconds later and the sun had cleared the cloud ... talk about missing scorched retinas by an iota in time!

But everything was okay. But unfortunately, they were not full bloom.

But I could take them really well. On the way I meet old people.

And we became friends. It was really nice travel for me.

For several years when our kids were in school, we would rent a housekeeping apartment at the beach in San Clemente and spend a week there just before they started the school year. We'd walk the beach after supper, watching the sun go down. This evening the color was different — a purple-red tint. I looked out to see these three surfers waiting for their last ride of the day, silhouetted by the setting sun. No retouching has been done. This was just the way it was on that night in 1984.

I always wonder how sunsets manage to remain memorable perpetually..Probably it's not just about how spectacular it is but about fond memories it brings back...
