late spring on isle of Harris, with a low sun the dunes at Nisabost beach were just so dramatic that day. i love the contrast between the dark skied and the golden sands.
Sunset on the River Thurne/Norfolk Broads and am guessing this boat owners off down to The Lion Inn.

One from a few weeks back! Just had to pull over and take a shot!
Not sure if the pylons add to it or annoy me really, but couldn't do much about them!

Shot the same boat a few weeks ago but under different conditions, had some nice light and a bit of colour did show after the sun went down, my good friend Paul Farrell joined me.
As the sun sets after wind, rain and a very cold January day which made the days fishing very difficult and not very successful.
Finally managed to recover some lost photos on a corrupted card from my Hong Kong trip. I used some SanDisk software eventually to get the day's worth of images back. The sun sets over Hong Kong island.

Stationary cloud over the Eastern Sierra California made for an interesting sunset. Figures a jet contrails would interfere with the shot. Mt Tom to the left.
Just as the sun is about to descent past the horizon, the clouds are aglow with the last remaining light of the day. So. California occasionally are visited by some of the Tall Ships.
The setting sun over the the Moray Firth lights up the water and rocks at Burghead.

This photo was taken on the westbound 408 in Orlando, FL. Aside from the spectacular sky, what catches my eye in this scene is the tall tree on the middle left, It suddenly appeared a few months ago. The first time I noticed it, I asked myself, how could I never have noticed it before. I soon realized that its not a tree at all, but a disguised utility pole of some sort.

Zoey playing with her Aunt Lolo's fedora the other day. I was editing photos when I turned and saw how cool the evening sun looked backlighting her so I decided to use it to create this shot.
D700, 85mm f/1.4D wide open, 1/125th, iso 200, natural light from the sun directly behind her head coming in through a west facing window.
One of the best things about the west coast is sunsets over the ocean. In Boston, I’d have to get up really super early to get a shot like this. This is from Point Dume on Christmas Day, shot with Sony a6000 and 55-210mm lens.
