Claire wanted an edgy session for her senior portraits. She chose the location. Which happens to be one of the oldest cemetery in Texas.

Heading away from the evening setting sun and Roby station in the background, GB Railfreight loco 60056 leads a rake of loaded hoppers eastbound. It approaches Huyton station, as it hauls the 6E24 loaded train from Liverpool Biomass Terminal to Drax Power Station.
As several people have commented on the crispness of the new camera's lens, I thought I'd post three deliberately-out-of-focus shots I took last week :-)
This is a shot of late-afternoon sun catching a row of glasses in the kitchen at work. Some nice greens.

(Art) is both the taking and giving of beauty; the turning out to the light the inner folds of the awareness of the spirit. It is the recreation on another plane of the realities of the world; the tragic and wonderful realities of earth and men, and of all the inter-relations of these. ~ Ansel Adams (in a letter to Cedric Wright)
