Mt. Olympus is barely discernible behind clouds to the left (South) of the glorious sunset. The mountain is 55 km (34 miles) away. It is framed by a fishing rod and by the tip of the cape “Akra Epanomēs,” formed by two converging shores in N. Greece. The sky appears to be all ablaze, radiating a warm glow in golden hues.
Mt. Olympus rises to 2,917 m (9,570 ft) and is the highest mountain in Greece. It was thought as the 12 gods' everlasting residence, according to Homer. The sacred mountain has long inspired a legion of poets.
Sun Passing Over Mosley Street, Manchester, UK.
At this time of year the sun is so low in the sky you can stand at Piccadilly Gardens end of Moseley Street and watch it pass across the other end of the street, (where you can see the building work). At the moment this happens at around 3 ‘o’ clock in the afternoon. Standing at the end of the street looking down you get this glorious golden light, causing everything to appear in silhouette with rim lighting around the subjects; an added bonus is how the light causes the tram lines to stand out. These conditions only last for about ten minutes or so…. The white patch on the right is a digital display advertising the iPhone X and is therefore not in shadow…..! Andy Rouse and I stood in the middle of the road taking pictures for a while and it was amazing how many people came along and stood behind us taking ‘our’ pictures on their iPhone’s; I wonder if anyone would have noticed had we not been stood there?

As ms Noordam travels from the Island of Maré, New Caledonia to Mystery Island, Vanuatu, the sun, as it does everyday, was setting someplace on the Coral Sea.
I think we are now hand in hand with the Flat Earth Society.

About 15 minutes after the last shot I posted of this sunset at Maplewood Park. I even got the toenail of the moon in the sky.
A wooden boardwalk winds through the evergreens at the end of Skyline Trail in Cape Breton Highlands National Park, Nova Scotia,
leading to a breathtaking view of the sun setting over the Gulf of St. Lawrence.

Rhea had it in her--she knew she did. She was going to take the New York stages by storm--she was going to be a star!
Trevaunance Cove, St. Agnes in Cornwall, lovely little cove that has some great waves, loads of surfing, great sunsets and great pubs and resteraunts......happy days!
I had just sat for dinner, looked out of the window and saw this. Ran, got a camera and took a few shots. This fabulous light/color display only lasted a few minutes before the clouds turned their usual white/grey.
