United Welsh Services was set up in 1939 to consolidate a number of smaller bus companies in the Swansea area acquired by Red & White. Red & White itself was sold to the state-owned Tilling Group in 1950. This became part of the National Bus Company in 1969 and two years later United Welsh was merged into South Wales Transport.
The bus was painted as part of the commemorations of the 100th anniversary of South Wales Transport in 2014
Being satisfied with himself/herself can be the worst thing that can happen to an artist ... and I think I need to polish my skills to reach next level in photography ... this involves lots of reading and stuff ... so I have two options now ...

Building at Hickory Run Service Plaza on the Pa. Turnpike Northeast Extension. This replaced the smaller original building that had a full-service Howard Johnson's restaurant and later Hardee's. A similar building also replaced the unit at the Allentown Service Plaza on the NE extension.

I really don't trust the BMW main dealer, so I thought I'd have a quick look over the BMW before it goes in for its final inclusive service on Monday. Technically it's not due an oil change yet, as it's on the long-life 20k service regime. At over 3 years old it's only had one oil change in it's life, which I'm not too happy about. If they refuse to do it on Monday I'm going to get it done anyway (at my local independent) and then do it every 10k after that.
My investigations this morning highlighted some other short-comings of the BMW inclusive service plan too. See next pic...
De Lijn PCC Tram 6208 arrives at Gent Zuid while working a Route 24 service to Sint-Pietersstation. With the route ahead blocked by an earlier traffic accident, this service would terminated here and this tram used to work a Route 21 service from Zuid to Melle Leeuw.

This morning, Friday 8 November 2019, officers and staff of Greater Manchester Police took part in a Remembrance Ceremony in the John Armstrong Welch Memorial Garden at the Force’s Sedgley Park Centre in Prestwich.
The Force’s Chief Constable Ian Hopkins was joined by Baroness Beverley Hughes, Deputy Mayor of Greater Manchester, in laying official wreaths.
The John Armstrong Welch memorial garden was constructed in 2005 and is named after the former Deputy Chief Constable of Salford City Police.

The vessel arrived in London from the naval base in Riga, Latvia, in July 1994 under the command of its Captain Vitalij Burda who bid official farewell to his second home for the last 23 years. She was at Long's Wharf, Thames Barrier until 1998 and then moved to Folkestone until the pier was put up for sale.
She has found a temporary home in Strood on the Medway (while awaiting confirmation of a permanent berth in Dublin??)

Five years ago only one bus service the 6 (now axed) served this entrance to ARI. Since building the port it is now served by First 3/3A, 14/14A, 16A and Stagecoach 10, 59, 305/25.
Today was the first day of the 16A serving ARI (every 24 mins) having been rerouted away from Berryden although as can be seen from the "Airyhall via Berryden 16A" destination the displays have not yet been updated to reflect the route change.

First attempt at simulating a rescue mission for this October's STS-125 mission to service the Hubble Space Telescope. If Atlantis gets in big trouble, Endeavour will be ready to launch within a week to rescue the crew. Later I will use the robotic arms to grapple the two shuttles together as would be done for rescue. This is Orbiter with v4 of the Shuttle Fleet add-on.
About a year ago, I posted a photo here of me wearing the navy "working white" uniform. That was one of the last times I wore that uniform. That uniform, along with the "working blues", have been replaced by the new year-round "Service Uniform", which I'm wearing in this photo.
