Once again Feethams at Darlington once again 1961.
This is a ver early Bristol LS5G, probably dating from 1952, waiting to depart for Hurworth.
Hurworth is a delightful village about five miles south of Darlington on the banks of the Tees. The river Tees separates Durtham from North Yorkshire.
Hurwoth has a lovely pub , trust me I know. In my late teens and early twenties, on odd occasions, I would visit my aunt and uncle in Darlington, whose house was about three miles from Hurworth. One of the highlights of these visits would be a Sunday morning walk with Uncle (Don't tell your Aunt Edna) John to Hurwoth for a couple of pints, then back home to one of Aunt Edna's beautiful Sunday lunches.

NJT GP40PH-2 #4108 and GP40PH-2B #4217 are both sitting under the shed at Hoboken during a less busy day than usual. The previous day's winter storm knocked out power on the Morris and Essex Lines and brought down trees on the Pascack Valley Line, causing day-long service cancellations. In addition to that, NJT was experiencing a cab car shortage for several months, which culminated in several ex-CNJ GP40PH-2s to fill in the void. It was a slow day at Hoboken, but enabled me to snag several shots inside the terminal.

Service staff recently joined folks from The Nature Conservancy at a western North Carolina bog to help keep tabs on the rare green pitcher plant. In order to help provide the pitcher plants with the ample sunlight they need, the site is periodically subjected to a prescribed burn and nascent shade trees cleared by hand where necessary.
To evaluate the effectiveness of their management, every two years The Nature Conservancy monitors the rare green pitcher plant that grows on the site.

Staff Sgt. Matthew E. Reyes (left), a military police investigator with the 102nd MP Company out of Fond du Lac, Wis., draws his weapon as Staff Sgt. Ronald E. Small, a squad leader with the 814th MP Co., out of Arlington Heights, Ill., studies his movements as part of protective services training during the 200th Military Police Command’s 2012 Annual Special Agent Training Sept. 26, 2012. The event brings special agents from Criminal Investigation Divisions across the nation together, and provides training opportunities with their military and civilian law enforcement counterparts from around the world. The event is held at the Gryphon Group’s Fort Bragg Combat Training Center here, from Sept. 20 – 30.
The training focused on hand-to-hand combat and reacting to an attack during a protective service detail, where groups of participants were required to safely move a VIP from one location to another. This was the first year participating in ASAT for both Reyes, a Appleton, Wis., native and Small, a Chicago native. (U.S. Army photo by Sgt. 1st Class Carlos J. Lazo/Released)

On Saturday, May 14, 2022, the men and women of the Los Angeles Fire Department warmly welcomed the community to visit LAFD neighborhood fire stations for tours and demonstrations during the Department's annual 'Fire Service Day' celebration.
The citywide "Open Firehouse" event, last held in 2019 due to the pandemic, was well attended, and included the debut of the Rosenbauer RTX, the LAFD's first electric fire engine, as well as the communities' chance to meet newly appointed Fire Chief Kristin M. Crowley.

The Innsworth Military Wives Choir singing during the Service.
Headquarters Allied Rapid Reaction Corps held its annual Carol Service at Tewkesbury Abbey on Monday 15 December 2014.
This annual event, which is open to the general public, is an honoured British military tradition shared by the whole 16-nation NATO Rapid Deployment Corps Headquarters, stationed at Innsworth, Gloucestershire. The multinational Officers, non-commissioned officers, enlisted, and their families gathered in the beautiful setting of the abbey to sing Christmas Carols and listen to music provided by the Military Wives Choir of Innsworth.
This year's service included something unique to the listener in that most of the traditional passages were read in other languages represented at the ARRC, such as Greek, Italian, and Lithuanian.
