Launch Complex 39's Pad A was originally designed to support the Apollo program and were modified for Space Shuttle launch operations. Major changes included the erection of a new Fixed Service Structure (FSS) and a Rotating Service Structure (RSS).

The FSS is topped by a 80ft tall fiberglass lightning mast grounded by 1,100ft cables that are anchored north and south of the pad.

Photos from the Yosemite National Park portion of the "MOVE - Mountains Oceans Valley Experience" trip that almost all our incoming freshman and transfer students took this year. Those who went to Yosemite worked on several environmental projects. These are photos of President Pamela A. Eibeck as she helped pull non-native berries that are taking over the valley flloor, choking out native plants and trees.

We actually fostered a full blown greyhound service dog. She was beyond awesome.
