Found this Thibault fire truck in the Trinity, Newfoundland area. Last saw service in Port Rexton. Not sure of the year, but the company, from Quebec, went bankrupt in 1990.

After 55 years of faithful service on the River Thames connecting Woolwich to the south with North Woolwich to the north in London, the three Woolwich ferries have been retired in October 2018.
Transporting over 2 million passengers, cars & trucks every 15 minutes across the Thames, John Burns, Ernest Bevan & James Newman are being replaced by two brand new Polish built diesel-electric hybrid vessels in 2019.

Western North Carolina’s Pigeon River, home to the endangered Appalachian elktoe mussel, is also home to an annual Kids in the Creek event, hosted by local watershed group Haywood Waterways. This year, over the course of three days, every eighth-grade student in the county visited the Pigeon River, where they rotated through a number of educational stations focused on stream health. Stations included watershed health, water chemistry, fish, and macroinvertebrates. Because the river is habitat for an endangered mussel, for years now the Service has helped with the macroinvertebrate station, leading students in the collection and identification of stream insects and other invertebrates.

El Corte Ingles (The English Cut as in tailor's cut) is the biggest department store group in Europe and ranks fourth worldwide. El Corte Inglés is Spain's only remaining department store chain, as well as owner of several associated businesses - including BriCor, a DIY superstore.
El Corte Ingles are well known for their excellent customer service... this serviette was placed on the table by the waiter using a spoon and fork to handle it.
On a previous visit a couple of years ago my wife had placed her handbag on the floor next to the table. The waiter wasn't having any of it. He pulled up another chair next to her - picked up her bag and placed it on the chair.
Service staff recently joined folks from The Nature Conservancy at a western North Carolina bog to help keep tabs on the rare green pitcher plant. In order to help provide the pitcher plants with the ample sunlight they need, the site is periodically subjected to a prescribed burn and nascent shade trees cleared by hand where necessary.
To evaluate the effectiveness of their management, every two years The Nature Conservancy monitors the rare green pitcher plant that grows on the site.

TRN 769 ON THE RIGHT WAS RUN BY BRUTONIAN IN THE LATE 1970'S FOR ABOUT A YEAR BEFORE GOING IN PART EXCHANGE FOR ANOTHER AEC. IT WAS DISLIKED BY THE DRIVERS BECAUSE IT HAD NO POWER STEERING AND A CRASH GEARBOX.
IT ALSO SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN UNUSUAL IN THE FACT THAT IT SPENT MOST OF ITS WORKING LIFE PAINTED THE SAME COLOUR.
On Saturday, May 14, 2022, the men and women of the Los Angeles Fire Department warmly welcomed the community to visit LAFD neighborhood fire stations for tours and demonstrations during the Department's annual 'Fire Service Day' celebration.
The citywide "Open Firehouse" event, last held in 2019 due to the pandemic, was well attended, and included the debut of the Rosenbauer RTX, the LAFD's first electric fire engine, as well as the communities' chance to meet newly appointed Fire Chief Kristin M. Crowley.
