Autumn Mists
One of the first autumn mists of this year, cobweb spotted on the park railings on my way to work.
So September kicked off trying to prove that it really is the start of Autumn despite me protesting that it isn't until the equinox....
On top of this my laptop has decided that it doesn't like Adobe software anymore... or Adobe software has fallen out with the laptop because it's an ARM based chip rather than x86. Which is a pain. Not that Lightroom Classic worked on ARM anyway - so I am currently working with On1 Photo RAW (no, Capture One doesn't work either)
Anyway, whilst driving back through Muir of Ord after a good drenching I spotted this scene and thought it would make an appropriate photograph for today. A bit of street photography for a change of pace!
On the upside... I did score a Bronica 150mm lens for a very good price on my travels - still looking for a 50mm and 75mm and I think that will cover most of my usual bases on the 645 system.

...it's that time of year...September (sometimes it's August)...when my Canon 7D or my Canon lens decides to break down...this year, it's the Lens. Finally, last year, DH ordered a new camera and lens...with a special warranty...breathing a sigh of relief, after a frustrating few days! Someday, I will stop click-click-clicking...and my gear will love me for it. But for now, I have two of everything, and one of my lenses will head to repair!

Photo taken at Lund beach in Fauske, Nordland county in Norway, north of the Arctic Circle. The Aurora app on my cell phone chimed and told me that the Aurora level was at a five out of five. So we jumped in the car and drove to the beach and took some beautiful shots.
These are the stones circles to commemorate the visit of the National Eisteddfod in 1908 to Llangollen and they arevin the grounds of Ladies of Llangollen Plas Newydd cottage.
This is a photo-journal of my experience on 9/11/2001.
On the day of the World Trade Center attack, I was living inside what is now known as "Ground Zero". My apartment, in this picture, is one of the buildings closer to the WTC on the left side.
I found myself shooting these photographs as the entire event unfolded. Running from the falling tower, I was evacuated to New Jersey on a tugboat from Battery Park.
This photo journal is my way of sharing my experience with other people. Please feel free to share it with others. If it makes a difference, if it reaches one more person who may take away something from it, I am grateful. If you feel so inclined, I would be happy to hear from you (whether it be your experience, or otherwise - and many thanks to those who have sent me kind thoughts and wishes through this ordeal).

The sunflower took a bit of a beating during the recent hurricane, but remains beautiful still as September signals its usefulness as seeds for next year's plants and food for the birds and sqirrels through the fall and winter.
