As if to enhance our memories, Mother Nature provided us today with a carbon copy of that crystal clear, deep blue, cloudless sky we saw on the morning of September 11, 2001. This shot is SOOC, looking north into the sky over Fairfax Station, VA.
It's about 07:30 on a cloudless late summer morning at Grayslake, as the FDIC muscles it's way toward Schiller Park. We would get authority out of the Quarry after the WC 6006 cleared us, to proceed north. By the time we would get a few miles down the track, the world as we and every other American knew it, would be forever changed. This would be the only photo I took this day and the last in a "normal" time.

September 1, 2013 - Kearney Nebraska
Hey its Nebraska... With the game playing in the background... Nebraska (Huskers) Football was in session and if your a College Football Fan... That takes precedence over storm chasing. Some might laugh at this but their are some small rural towns that will shut down during a Husker Football event. Win or Lose!
I would have to look back to this date and see whom played that evening, but the Huskers had a substantial lead and I knew this was coming close. Packed up a few cams and headed out for this September night storm.
This was a beauty. This storm cell was pulling out some incredible cloud to cloud lightning. It was illuminating the night sky with some frighting delightful thunderstorm ambiance! Not only did I get this, a nice wall cloud was present the whole time but never produced a tornado that evening. Sure was purdy to look at though as you can see in this set of captures.
Eventually this storm would become outflow dominate. Once you see the shelf cloud forming then this storm changed. With all that ambient lightning it made this one of best night storms of 2013.

There's a thing they do in Instagram called #transformationtuesday where girls post before and after pictures of stages of their transition, or sometimes pre-transition to now.
There are pretty much no photos of me before I started to transition (what a contrast to now, LOL!) so I decided to do a panoramic image from September 2018, September 2019 and September 2020.
This gives some idea of the changes made by my transitioning - both hormones (over 2 years now and they are magic) and also laser hair removal does make a big difference to the smoothness of my face.

Rusty bolts on a steel girder, from the World Trade Center tower destroyed during the September 11, 2001, terrorist attack in NY. Found this in a 9/11 memorial located in the Hudson River Waterfront Walkway in New Jersey.

The 52 in 2017 Challenge for Week 35: Intentional Camera Movement
I love this technique, and use it when I can't find as much inspiration as I like or trying to add some emotion to an image.
Doing ICM of a sunset is difficult because I like to keep my horizon straight, and get a good amount of lines and definition in the clouds and water. But I also love how it blends the colors together a bit.
September Pullip is Princess Ann (Audrey Hepburn) from the old hollywood film "Roman Holiday" (1953).
She is really beautiful! She comes with two outfits and I love both of them. Her hair is so cute, she has small curls at the back and very easy to manage bangs.
I love her face-up, it's so subtle and sweet but very expressive.
This is a family photo but I'm not sure who's in it. Possibly one of Ernest Illingworth's siblings which would make it in Saxton's River or Bellows Falls, Vermont.
It looks like a combined Junior High and High School classroom.
The calendar on the back wall handily announces that it's September 1905.
The teacher looks completely joyless - hopefully she was just caught in an off moment.
Once the texture had been added this image seemed to say September to me ...
