As of early September most bucks are now hardhorned in our area. Bucks will now begin to exhibit pre rut behavior. This can be a very exciting time for wildlife photographers interested in photographing Whitetail behavior.

Birthday for 6 people - all having a birthday in September. There are 6 different pictures and colors on each side. My daughter and son-in-law in photo
Greatly inspired by Andrea's SweetCakes.
Out and about interviewing again today and I drove through Saltburn on the way back - it was so lovely I had to stop and get some pics (I also HAD to get some salty/vinegary chips for lunch and eat them on the pier!). It's so lovely here, I can't believe I've never heard of it. Must remember to take my DSLR when I'm out for visits; the scenery around Middlesbrough has been a very unexpected (and lovely) surprise to me.
September 2003 sunset (view from my deck)
Added to the Cream of the Crop group as my most viewed photo as of 1 Jan 2005.
The warm sunshine dried and revived a few remaining sunflowers in a local field.

Ok - I admit it - I'm addicted to taking pictures of big straw bales with super blue skies (and possibly cows as well). Spring barley straw baled up and in the field of a beautiful September evening. Harvest this year has been much easier than 2012. Good weather windows and dry land. Pity grain price is down for the arable farmers. Polariser on at about 90 degrees from the sun usually does a good job on popping the sky.
September 24, 2017 sunset on the San Francisco Bay. The moon. San Francisco skyline and Coit Tower on the left. The Golden Gate Bridge center. Marin Headlands to the right of the bridge. Mt. Tamalpias (The Sleeping Princess) to the far right.

Today I trapsed my way through a soggy Bournemouth Gardens and took enough shots to keep me going for a few days!
As hard as it may be to believe, there is no increase in saturation on this photo! Such a beautiful flower!! and Lucky with the raindrops!
September is rapidly becoming my favorite month, It's the first time I'm recanting a previous season through the lens of my camera, after just passing 1 year. Last year I had a great amount of fun, but was eager to see the rest of the years colours. Throughout the ensuing time though, the September colours never left my mind. The last gasp of summers colours, saturated in the rain for encroaching autumn, A perfectly beautiful transitional period.
I never liked that song.. "Wake me up when September ends" anyway!

Taken at Normanby Park just a few miles from my home. These nice pink/purple flowers are now few and far between as September draws on.

That's another classical view of this nice place. What captured my attention was the almost red color of the grass and the contrast between that and the blue sky. Consider that I took this photo at around 3.30 pm. Wonderful.

Unbelievably, this is the actual colour of the water in my pool right now. (I'm only using a circular polarizing filter here.) Warm weather + sunlight have transformed the water into an algae soup in less than a month since the last batch of chlorine was dumped in. I threw an ice cube in to create the ripples :-)
