365 challenge - September 2022

It's all looking a bit dark but amazingly another month done and dusted. Quite an eventful month with the passing of our Queen and on a more personal note, the arrival of our granddaughter.

Now for October.

If anyone would care to join me in the October challenge...A photo a day for the month. Here is a link for you to take a look:

"In this latest comer the vanished summer

Has left its sunshine the world to cheer,

And bids us remember in late September

What beauty mates with the passing year."

Mother Nature composed a lovely September floral arrangement in my garden, adding an Anemone to a brilliant orange Barberry. So I just had to paint this lovely scene with Topaz Studio.

"Oh, it's a long, long while from May to December,

but the days grow short when you reach September.

When the autumn weather turns

the leaves to flame

One hasn't got time for the waiting game

Oh, the days dwindle down to a precious few ..."

The new Beef Barn restaurant in North Smithfield has a pretty park near the restaurant. They are building a covered bridge on the footpath on the other side of the pond.

Eggplant flowers typically face down so I shot from below.

One of the best things about September are the sunflowers. Wonderful layers of yellow crowding along the pathways and in open areas not dominated by the grasses. A walk in prairie country in September is always a delight.
