Unbelievably, this is the actual colour of the water in my pool right now. (I'm only using a circular polarizing filter here.) Warm weather + sunlight have transformed the water into an algae soup in less than a month since the last batch of chlorine was dumped in. I threw an ice cube in to create the ripples :-)

Happiness held is the seed; happiness shared is the flower.

September Fury during Friday's Gold race at the Reno Air Races.

On September 29, 2019, the last hummingbird left my backyard to head south.

For me, September 1st is always a very special day. Many, many, many years ago, in 1990, when I started 1st grade (please don’t calculate my age), I rang the bell on the first day of school. Teachers were looking for a small skinny cute girl. No one wanted to go, and my mom said, “why don’t you take my daughter? she will do it”. I quietly walked to a senior. They gave me a giant bell. He picked me up. He ran, and I rang the bell. It was the beginning of the last year for him and the very first day of school for me. Yes, by the time I moved to the USA in 1995 and started 7th grade, I was in school only full 5 years. What did I do before? Played with dolls and took midday naps. My dream is to get PhD… I can’t go back to school this year! I’m still mentally exhausted after after last 3 years! Maybe eventually… And if someone will say AGE… I will say FUCK AGE! FUCK AGE 😊 . . . And, of course, my grandma. I always associate September with her!

Thank you all for your comments and faves!

September has been a mixed up kind of month, with a big change in the weather and Autumn clearly in the picture. Here are some of the September pictures that did not quite make my picture of the day.

Orange Text; Sunday stroll behind the Ropewalk; Wild flowers at the Trennick Mill; Hayle Harbour, looking over to Lelant church; Lisa’s honeyed fig cake; Enjoy retro clothing; Wiggins at Cosawes Barton; more Enjoyment; Trelissick, Hayle; Knitted sunbather, Penzance Seafront (honest!); Penzance summerhouse; Hayle Harbour, looking back towards Penpol Terrace; Spider with stripey legs; Booking Office, Penzance (by the Ross Bridge); Dog rose and hips.

We're off to Dorset for a few days. See you soon.

My head, it landed.....

TOTW: Lyrically Inspired..... Since I am so scared of commitment, I couldnt commit to 30 songs in 30 days, so at least I get to play along a little!

Janes Addiction- Three Days

I would provide you with a link so that you may listen to this song I love, but all the verisons on the internet were taken by a guy with a cell phone camera and it looked like he was filming during an earthquake, so I will spare you. I absolutley love this song, it is in heavy rotation on my IPod. When it comes on, I like to listen to it as loud as I can and I like to play air bass. Plus when I was younger I had quite the crush in Dave Navarro. I have outgrown that. He wears more eyeliner than me.

Three days was the morning.

My focus three days old.

My head, it landed

To the sounds of cricket bows...

I am proud man anyway...

Covered now by three days...

Three ways was the morning.

Three lovers, in three ways.

We knew when she landed,

Three days she'd stay.

I am a proud man anyway...

Covered now by three days...

We saw shadows of the morning light

the shadows of the evening sun

till the shadows and the light were one.

Shadows of the morning light

the shadows of the evening sun

till the shadows and the light were one...

True hunting is over.

No herds to follow.

Without game, men prey on each other.

The family weakens by the bite we swallow...

True leaders gone,

Of land and people.

We choose no kin but adopted strangers.

The family weakens by the length we travel...

All of us with wings...

All of us with wings...

All of us with wings!

All of us with wings!

All of us with wings!

All of us with wings!

Erotic Jesus lays with his Marys.

Loves his Marys.

Bits of puzzle,

Fitting each other.

All now with wings!

Oh my Marys!

Never wonder...

Night is shelter

For nudity's shiver...

All now with wings...

Operation Market Garden. Why it's called that? I don't know, nor give a damn. All I know is that if we got this one right, we would be home by Christmas. All of us were young lads, excited for this jump, we couldn't wait to get back home. We sang songs, and cracked jokes about Krauts. None of knew what we were headed for. None of us.

Please excuse my sad excuse for a story :P. It took a while to perfect this moc, I wanted it to be good telling that I haven't made one in a while.

Thought I'd head out for an evening on holiday to finally catch sundown in Agios Georgios, Corfu. Thankfully my settings were all sorted when the plane began shooting up.

The last flowers before September sets in

This is an image of the World Trade Center I personally took on September 10, 2001. I have photographed and edited that original image today for my 365Project as a tribute to all those who died and those who selflessly gave their lives to save others on this day a decade ago.
