Summer hanging out on the deck chair, she's such a cute puss and loves attention!
With Ninian Lif texture.
This lovely Highlander was having a good scratch on a fence post today, blissfully enjoying the sunshine
From a recent visit to Monkey World, Dorset, a Rescue & Rehabilitation Centre set up in 1987 to provide abused primate apes from all over the world with a permanent, stable home.
This shot was taken through a (scratched not very clean) glass screen; apologies for the loss in quality.

Green Heron scratching that itch, having a bad hair day too... I could hardly hold the camera still (no tripod of course) because I was laughing, good thing I was far away, didn't want to disturb!!
Hope you all have a wonderful Wednesday! HWW too!
Thank you for your visit and support!
[Enlarge to see the light in the cobwebs on the tree.]
This lovely young cow had an itchy back, and simply had to scratch it. It sits in the light at that very moment when the sun emerged from behind the mountains and struck us with a golden glow. But for me the highlight in this picture (the "punctum" as Roland Barthes would have called it), is the way the light catching the cobwebs in the tree matches the way it also catches the wire in the fence which runs down the left side of the picture.

Sandcastles
We built sand castles that washed away
I made you cry when I walked away
Oh, and although I promised that I couldn't stay, baby
Every promise don't work out that way, oh, babe
Every promise don't work out that way
Dishes smashed on my counter from our last encounter
Pictures snatched out the frame
Bitch, I scratched out your name and your face
What is it about you that I can't erase, baby?
Well every promise don't work out that way, no no, babe
Well every promise don't work out that way
And your heart is broken 'cause I walked away
Show me your scars and I won't walk away
Oh, and I know I promised that I couldn't stay, baby
Every promise don't work out that way, no no no no no
Every promise don't work out that way

Upgrading equipment. Adapting studio. Testing lights. Experimenting with exposure. I'm scratching around with unexplored technical or visual ideas.
Once in a while I have a few images to share and find a new direction for deeper exploration.
Here are the results of my most recent session of scratching around in the studio!

Walking around one evening at Circle B Bar Reserve near Lakeland, Florida, we were fortunate to come across this Great Egret scratching his toe. He measures about 38 inches (95cm) from beak-tip to tail-tip.
