Ian Cheesborough helping students identify garden bees. We had a good day finding the following in the Trust's garden near the centre of Shrewsbury:
Hylaeus cf communis, Colletes daviesanus, Andrena haemorrhoa, A. carontonica, Bombus pratorum, B lucorum/terrestris, B. pascuorum, B. hypnorum, B. lapidarius, Osmia rufa, O. caerulescens, Coelioxys spp., Also Sapyga quinquepunctata, Gasteruption spp., Pemphredon lugubris, Various hoverlies and probably a few other bees I have forgotten.
The question when the Quadrant opened has been asked and I found a copy of the proposed stand allocations together with a note on the reverse which said:- "Quadrant Phase l - all Coach Station services transfer first on 6 November 1878.
Heading for Putney and eventually London Waterloo in heavy rain is South West Trains High Capacity Desiro HC450568.
Seen against a threatening Woking sky, and above DB shed 66126, South West Trains 450020 rolls past adding a splash of colour with a Basingstoke service.

Yeah! I didn't have this one! Only one more SWT 159 unit to photograph.
159105 is the rear portion of a London Waterloo train about to sprint past a 455 at New Malden.
SWT Class 159 No.159022 passes Berkley Marsh,with the 08:50 Salisbury to Weymouth service,on the 26th of March 2019.
Enthusiasts litter the platform at Brockenhurst as 421498 waits to leave ECS to the sidings, having worked to Lymington for the last time. 22nd May 2010, last day of the winter timetable and the last day of 3CIG units operating the Lymington branch line. These were the last mainline slamdoor EMU units to operate, units which were once found across the South of England.
One of the 4 AEC Reliance coaches with Weymann 41 seat bodies that were later downgraded to become the first one-man-operated vehicles used on the Swansea to Brecon service.
