Clapham Junction yard plays host to numerous SWT Desiro units of class 450 and a couple of class 444 units between rush hours on 10th July 2017.
For many years these sidings were the base for loco hauled coaches and newspaper vans working from Waterloo and continued to do so until the final loco hauled services ceased on the Waterloo - Exeter line in the 1990s. The sidings were all subsequently electrified and turned over to EMU storage and a constant stream of empty units can be seen arriving and departing for Waterloo throughout the day.
Saturday 3rd February 2007 would end up being the last day of operation for the South West Trains Class 442 "Wessex Electric". On this day units 2405, 2410 and 2412 were in service, with the honour of the last being to run a passenger working falling to 2412 "Special Olympics" which worked the 21.05 Waterloo to Poole service.

South West Trains 444009 is seen shortly after passing through Eastleigh whilst working the 09:35 London Waterloo to Weymouth. Saturday 1st August 2007.

And today is the day it all came to a end. South West Trains franchise was to pass over to First at 2am so at around 00.30 I thought it was relevant to grab a picture of DP1024 at Surbiton Station performing the last 'SWT' ran service to Guildford via Cobham. Many miles covered for SWT and many good times, here's to the future.

South West Trains Class 158 No. 158881 is seen waiting time at Brockenhurst with 1J57 the 20:18 service to Lymington Pier on Wednesday 10th June 2015.
After buying my 5d mark iii was really excited to go out and shoot. went past my friend's house to show him the new buy.
I saw this unique frame pinned up on a tree in his back yard that I'm sure has been there for ever but it only really caught my eye when i was looking for my next subject. Amazing how something so beautiful isn't noticed by the first glance of ones surroundings.
