SWT Cl.483008 approaches the line's terminus at Shanklin on an Island Line service from Ryde Pier Head.
We did an up on Wednesday, up and up and up. Then down and down and down even further. Backwoods Near Gradbach Staffordshire Moorlands UK SWT looks after this now. A few beehives might be useful up here, the Heather was in full flower and yet we saw very few bees. We saw 6 Meadow Pipits.

SWT Cl.483004 arrives at Sandown on a hot summer's day working an Island Line service to Shanklin from Ryde Pier Head.
SWT Cl.483009 reaches its journeys end at Shanklin, the line's current southern terminus, on a hot summer's day having formed an Island Line service from Ryde Pier Head.
SWT class 455s pass at Raynes Park as the sun sets before a very frosty night. The tower blocks are by New Malden station, while the church spire to the right is in Surbiton.

A shot from the 'reject file' now given a second chance. Here a SouthWest Trains liveried Class 444 'Desiro' unit departs Dorchester heading for Weymouth on 13 May 2022 and approaches the site of the long closed Monkton & Came Halt.
