GOOOOOOD Morning all! and a Happy Sunday to you! xxx

sunday is gloomy,

my hours are slumberless

dearest the shadows

i live with are numberless

i have been taking less and less digital pictures lately, and have been focusing all of my attention on learning how to use my manual SLR. it reminds me of why i love photography in the first place, the experimentation, the burning inside of me to get a roll of film developed, that anxiousness to see how things turned out, learning. i cannot wait to see how this roll turns out. but for now......

Some fellow lounging about on a museum sofa, the same way the occassional Sunday ought to be spent!

Sunday is the day of the week between Saturday and Monday. It has traditionally been the first day of the week, but from the mid-twentieth century it is regarded as the seventh day of the civil calendar week.

Sunday is named after Sunna (Sól), Germanic goddess of the sun, from which the word sun also is derived. The practice of naming the seven days after the ten known "planets" goes back to Babylonian or Egyptian times and was adopted by Greeks and Romans.

Sunday is considered a non-working day in many countries of the world, and are part of "the weekend". Countries predominantly influenced by Jewish or Islamic religions have Friday or Saturday as a weekly non-working day instead.

Well this has nothing to do with the devestating bush fires that have killed so many in Victoria.

This afternoon I was on the lounge reading a book when I heard a huge bang. Sounded like an electrical transformer had exploded. 10 minutes later I looked outside and saw plumes of dark smoke from out the front of the house. Turns out that it was a car that was on fire. A porche actually. So of course I grabbed the camera and did what I could. Police, Fire and Ambulance were already on the scene and it looks like no body was hurt.

So a rainy afternoon turned into a bit of an exciting one as everyone gathered around to watch the doom unfold.

The Point Pleasant Post Office in WV was quiet as could be on this sunny Sunday. Hopefully all the workers were able to take some time to enjoy the pretty day.

Whilst visiting Scropton Crossing to see the old signal box on Sunday afternoon the signalman came out to shut the gate , I thought it was just one of the two service trains per hour which pass on the North Staffs line , Much to my surprise this roared into view pulling an observation coach.

A shawl wrapped morning with rain and wind...but warm in the studio going back and forth between fabric and paper/paint projects.

On Sunday the stores are usually closed, yes?

So drive by shootings on Sundays

Not at all sure what I'm after but I came across these grass soldiers, all in a line, green on red.

Back off, they say, no one gets in on a Sunday.

Day 16/ 30 Days of Gratitude

Bagels, lox,coffee, mom.....all things i love.

Stopped off at the bagel store on the way to moms- and a gentleman ordering right before me in line looked and sounded like he could have been related to me in some way..So, as Im waiting for my lox and cream cheese he orders EXACTLY the bagels that I ordered ...but .. then he said "and 2 BIALYS.".....well .. that is EXACTLY what i would have ordered if my dad was still here.. Dad wasn't a huge fan of the bagel and lox combo..he was butter on a bialy or onion roll kinda guy..

so.. i waited as tears rolled down my eyes...went to moms and we kinda had a quiet breakfast together...things really suck . . however . im grateful for the sunday ritual and having mom closeby..

Engineering work on the Charing Cross to Hastings route on Sunday 20.9.23 meant trains between London and Tunbridge Wells only.

With many of the lines 375’s marooned at West Marina this meant 3/5 of the trains were formed of Networker sets otherwise dormant at Tonbridge on a Sunday.

This is 466025 before departure leading a 10-car formation on the 12.16 Charing Cross to Tunbridge Wells.

It’s not a good time for Met Cam Networkers with weekly withdrawals of 465/9 and 466 as more 707’s arrive from SWR.
