A fire at Britain’s largest gay sauna is not thought to have been started deliberately.
Chariots Roman Spa in Fairchild Street, Shoreditch, was gutted by a huge blaze in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The spa, which describes itself as ‘the UK’s largest and friendliest gay men’s sauna’, had around half of its ground floor destroyed in the blaze which started around 6am.
Around 150 punters fled the building as six fire engines and some 30 firefighters arrived at the scene at 6.05am to battle the blaze.
The crews had the fire under control by 7.40am and police have said the blaze is not being treated as suspicious.
A worker at the sauna told the Gazette that the sauna would now be closed for at least two months.

Sunday bliss starts with breakfast.
Filmjölk, fruit and müsli; followed by cheese sandwiches, boiled eggs and coffee, of course.
A row of classic cars line a street inside Oakland Cemetery for 2013's Sunday in the Park festival. Myself, being a car guy, I really enjoy looking at the classic Fords/Lincolns/Cadillacs ect. They had more than double the amount of car this year than two years ago. A pleasant surprise!

Sunday on the Reforma boulevard in México City. With the streets closed to car traffic thousands take to their bicycles for a bike ride.
Blogged in The Woodwork: When did you go digital?
John Koontz asks what convinced me to make the jump to digital photography. The answer is this painting. (Read the blog entry for a deeper explanation.)

My muse, our 16 weeks old daughter on a Sunday morning sucking her thumb. I love the soft shadows of the natural light on her face.
Sunday morning, praise the dawning
I've got a restless feeling by my side
Early dawning, Sunday morning
It's just the wasted years so close behind
Watch out, the world's behind you
There's always someone around you who will call
It's nothing at all
Sunday morning and I'm falling
I've got a feeling I don't want to know
Early dawning, Sunday morning
It's all the streets you crossed, not so long ago
Watch out, the world's behind you
There's always someone around you who will call
It's nothing at all
Sunday morning
