A shawl wrapped morning with rain and wind...but warm in the studio going back and forth between fabric and paper/paint projects.
On Sunday the stores are usually closed, yes?
So drive by shootings on Sundays
Not at all sure what I'm after but I came across these grass soldiers, all in a line, green on red.
Back off, they say, no one gets in on a Sunday.

Day 16/ 30 Days of Gratitude
Bagels, lox,coffee, mom.....all things i love.
Stopped off at the bagel store on the way to moms- and a gentleman ordering right before me in line looked and sounded like he could have been related to me in some way..So, as Im waiting for my lox and cream cheese he orders EXACTLY the bagels that I ordered ...but .. then he said "and 2 BIALYS.".....well .. that is EXACTLY what i would have ordered if my dad was still here.. Dad wasn't a huge fan of the bagel and lox combo..he was butter on a bialy or onion roll kinda guy..
so.. i waited as tears rolled down my eyes...went to moms and we kinda had a quiet breakfast together...things really suck . . however . im grateful for the sunday ritual and having mom closeby..
A rescue mission since 1878 (not originally at this location, obviously) - John Wanamaker (Wanamaker's Department Store), John B. Stetson (Stetson Hat Co.), W. Atlee Burpee (Burpee Seed Co.), and former governor James Pollock served as the original trustees.
Everybody loves Sundays, that's a fact. But do I rarely see mine, for I'm usually napping. Today I started moving in some stuff from my dorm room to my room at my Grandparent's house. I'll be living here for the summer while (hopefully) working at Meijer. Gotta do work, gotta do work. 4 more days in Bowling Green & then my life gets awesome.
Canoga Park, CA – I was driving home from the beach when I saw a game being played at a local park. So I grabbed the camera and took some shots. Soccer photography is much more difficult then I thought. A little anticipation mixed with a lot of luck.
35th annual Rosary Sunday draws thousands devoted to Mary, holy rosary

In a kaleidoscope of colors, sound and movement, more than 6,000 faithful in the Phoenix Diocese gathered to honor Mary in the most anticipated Catholic event of the year, Rosary Sunday.
Under her title Mary, Help of Christians, the 35th annual celebration continued its traditional offerings of confession, adoration, benediction and recitation of the rosary.
The downtown Phoenix Convention Center opened its doors Oct. 10 to ethnically diverse members of the Body of Christ whose public prayers in different tongues paid homage to Mary, especially for her protection of the unborn.
Bishop Thomas J. Olmsted was greeted with a standing ovation from an enthusiastic crowd that filled the seats, as others searched for open spots.
“Today, we see how Mary is the mother of all of us,” Bishop Olmsted said in his bilingual address.
Auxilary Bishop Eduardo Nevares, recently back from a trip to Rome, delivered an apostolic blessing from Pope Benedict, which was received with a round of applause.
Christy O’Gara said she attended the event for the second year with her six children so they could “see all those that love Jesus.”
“Now, more than ever, we desire to be together as witnesses to the world,” O’Gara said.

A lazy sunday morning in Dombivli, Thane, India. I'm a big fan of fading layers, was thrilled as soon as I saw this.
This was shot from the window of my cousin's home. Their hospitality has been overwhelming, every meal being a feast. Sorry, I've been missing in action for a while. I had to get a surgery done on my right-eye. It's gonna take some time to heal completely, so you can expect the lull to continue for a bit :(
SUNDAY FUNDAY IS HERE! And we're packing up the jeep and heading to the beach! Hop in! We've got DJ Ryder at Steamworkz Men's Resort at 2pm.. then DJ Ritch coming up at 6pm on the Boystown Beach! Throw on the beach attire and come be a bum in the sun!
Sunday is usually the best morning to see Cape Porpoise' lobster boats because its the one day that most of the lobstermen take off.
St. Anthony of Padua Church, alternatively known as the Sant'Antonio di Padova Church, S. Antonio di Padova, St. Antoine, or locally as Sent Antuan, is a basilica and the largest church of the Roman Catholic Church in Istanbul, Turkey. It is located at İstiklal Avenue No. 171 in the Beyoğlu district.
Along with the Cathedral of the Holy Spirit (1846) in the Harbiye district, St. Louis of the French (1581) and Santa Maria Draperis in Beyoğlu, Sts. Peter and Paul (1841) in Galata, Assumption Church in the Moda quarter of Kadıköy, St. Stephen in Yeşilköy and Bakırköy Church in Bakırköy, St. Anthony of Padua is one of the most important Catholic churches in Istanbul, and among them has the largest community following its Masses.
The original St. Anthony of Padua Church was built in 1725 by the local Italian community of Istanbul, but was later demolished and replaced with the current building which was constructed on the same location. The current St. Anthony of Padua, along with its adjacent buildings (known as the St. Antoine Apartmanları) on İstiklal Avenue, was built between 1906 and 1912 in the Venetian Neo-Gothic style, and was likewise edificed by the local Italian community of the city, mostly of Genoese and Venetian descent, who amounted to 40,000 people at the turn of the 20th century. The building was designed by the Istanbulite Levantine architect Giulio Mongeri, who also designed many other important buildings in Istanbul and Ankara; such as the Maçka Palas (which houses Armani Café and Gucci) in Nişantaşı and the Neo-Byzantine style Karaköy Palas bank building in Karaköy (Galata), Istanbul; as well as the first headquarters of Türkiye İş Bankası in Ankara.
The church is considered a minor basilica,[1] and is run by Italian priests. Saturday Mass is in Italian and begins at 19:00, Sunday Mass is 9:30 in Polish, 10:00 in English and 17:00 in Turkish, and Tuesday Mass is in Turkish and begins at 11:00. Weekday Masses are in English at 8:00.
Together with the churches of St. Mary Draperis, also on Istiklal Caddesi, and of SS. Peter and Paul in Galata, it was one of the three Levantine parishes in Beyoglu
Pope John XXIII preached in this church for 10 years, when he was the Vatican's ambassador to Turkey before being elected as pope. He is known in Turkey with the nickname "The Turkish Pope" because of his fluent Turkish and his often expressed love for Turkey and the city of Istanbul.
