Jon travelled south, till he reached the desertic area of Tarqa. The road faded out and he soon saw the gate of the exciting city. As he came close he became aware of a guardman...dozing.
"Uhm, Sir? Sir?" John asked aloud. "zZz..zZz..uhm..oh..how can I...uhm, please young visitor do..do not report me to my overseer." "You could answer me a precarious question and I will forget what I've seen", Jon said briskly. "Uhm, I guess so." "I need to get into contact with men, which know a thing or two about...criminal acts."
Option 1: "Ahem, you should visit Omar's tavern," the guardman whispered.
Option 2: "Meet Mustafa, he's the most influential merchant for jewellery and "other stuff"," the guard answered quietly.

It's now the turn of the “Marguerite de la Fare” series to be somewhat completed with new photos, which I hadn't initially chosen. Of course, this does not alter the storyline. The additional photos have been inserted where appropriate, in the scripted chronology of the series (see album).
This picture is part of my photographic series "Marguerite de la Fare", which I invite you to consult in the list of my albums. You will find the script in the album header, and by consulting the shots in their chronological order, paying attention to their titles, you can follow the story of Marguerite de la Fare's early years, according to my free interpretation.

Yeah. This is the end of the line.
I've seen the storyline played out so many times before.
Oh that goes in there.
Then that goes in there.
Then that goes in there.
Then that goes in there. & then it's over. Oh, what a hell of a show
but what I want to know:
what exactly do you do for an encore?
'Cos this is Hardcore.

Before I begin, I drew this yesterday! Just forgot to post!
Alright, this is a MINOR spoiler for Keeper of the Lost Cities. (Still highly recommended!) It won't spoil ANYTHING in the actual storyline, but there's a few things about it that you learn as you go. So.... yeah.
Another note! If you plan on reading the story, please be forewarned, the suggested age groups are 8-12, but my friends and I agree that at least in book 4 it needs to be higher than that. If you want to know why, you can message me!
Anyways, Sayonara!
God Bless!

To be serious, one of my top-ten super hero movies is definitely Big Hero 6. It has a great storyline despite that it's made for kids. Furthermore the animations are really well done and the emotions of the characters are captured perfectly. In addition all the scenes in the movie are filled with a lot of nice details.
The fact that they used a Fall out Boy song makes everything even better!
I especially liked how they designed Hiro's Workshop. It's full of stuff.
Now with a SuperHero competition on Imperium der Steine I had the chance to build it in Lego.
If you want to see more details or how dusty my bricks are, look at the picture in high resolution
i watched Red Riding Hood yesterday and i really loved it, was my inspiration for the picture. i thought it was a really dark and dumb movie, but it has a very cute love story and a pretty unexpected outcome of the storyline! you gotta watch it! :)
Equipped with a sword and some supply, Jon moved further south. Observing the surroundings carefully, trying to find signs the captors may have left. Suddenly Jon took notice of an mysterious wayfarer. „Sir, have you seen a gang of villains passing by?“, Jon asked after a brief hesitation. „Some men entered the forest over at the old oak tree. Didn‘t they?...Yes, I‘m pretty sure they did..Maybe not“, he answered while he suddenly continued to walk his way. „Th..thanks, Sir“ John stammered, left alone baffled.
Option 1: „He might be a bit confused but I trust him“, Jon thought.
Option 2: „Nah, I’ll stay on the road, the neighboring town isn’t far“, Jon thought.

A great photographer and friend, Craig Semetko, whose name I won't mention in order to allow him to remain anonymous, years ago cautioned me about making a "tourist photograph", which is basically a snapshot made without much thought about composition and storytelling. It was part of how he helped me become a better photographer, but it also become a standing joke between us, because I was pretty darn good at making tourist photographs, which is certainly not an accomplishment. This fall when I spotted these three family members, obvious tourists, all taking a photograph of the same thing simultaneously, I couldn't resist making a bona fide "tourist photograph". I did make sure I worked on the composition a bit and the storyline, well, it's obvious that tourists will be tourists and the apple doesn't fall far from the tree.

Well, this was my first car; a 2001 Hyundai Accent. It was a great car filled with many memories! Here's a storyline from midlife to end. (I have no pics of the beginning).
I would detail the paint of this car nonstop!

A small bomb went off around midnight at a SCYTHE weapons development facility. Five men were killed and three were injured. The local fire department was able to put out the fire before it spread across the whole facility but around 15 million dollars of equipment was severely dammaged. Thus wasn't a testing accident, it was definitely sabotage.
These are the first trials in a series which will involve all my alt avatars and which I will eventually gather together as a narrative web domain. I am going to try and construct a sort of a tale based upon Shakespearean quotes and sonnets, without a real storyline, loosely woven out of the doings of a group of avatars who love Shakespeare and Rachel Ruysch.
All the poses used are Frigg Ragu's: If it weren't for the narrative potential which these open up to me, it would never even have occurred to me to do something like this.
Excerpt from the plaque:
Punjabi Sheets #3: Birbansian, 1953, 1991
Birbansian is the village in Punjab, India, where Dhaliwal was born. In this installation, she records a tale in red oil stick on a large chalkboard. A series of eggs, some real, some handmade, rest on a ledge below. Dhaliwal writes:
Most of my installations, rich in colour and matter, have no apparent literary thread. There is, however, in the material substance of the work, a telling of tales; half-forgotten storylines rooted in inner landscapes. It is this submerged narrative that links that works thematically. In this case, the narrative is front and centre.
By reading this story told to me as a child by my mother, I reinsert myself into a matrifocal household, appreciating the love the two sisters had for me: the baby who survived illness but then as an adult absented herself from the family fold.

This is my first figure inspired by the factions of World in Darkness! None of what I will be posting holds weight in the actual storyline or impacts faction standards, it’s just me running wild with the awesome universe those guys are building. This figure is a member of the AKU Partnership which is a faction created by the legend himself, Michael Willhoit. Michael also gave me the idea to use the new BA pouches on the coat as pockets which turned out super sick!
it’s friday evening. i am w/ghosts & they’re morphing
into morphine scenes, the color in off-white walls.
several times i forget which of them is speaking
& which storyline they expect that i’m keeping. i’m dreaming.
i’m peeling off in layers on the ceiling. the seasick queen
waves to the feelings i’m seeing. they’re not talking anymore.
so i check the windows, check the door. i light the stove for warmth
& wait there for hours, thinking of the songbirds i’ve stifled.
the flowers i’ve grown & admired, petals sharp like a rifle.
In every room & in every floor, there is a storyline to be told, heard, seen or there is even emptiness...

Okay, so this is a different sort of entry for me and I'm still trying to figure out how it's going to go. What you see above is a bit of a character entry; an introduction, if you will, to a story arc I'd like to build over the next few months.
Apologies in advance for the mess! :D

Was messing around a, and thought this was upload worthy (I also really wanted to use that title/desc :P)
Just some side notes,
Guys in the 253rd, I would love it if you could get your entries for 9.3 up by this coming Sunday, if you need more time please let me know. Also feel free to let me know where you guys want to go next, I was thinking Muunilinst, but I also remember seeing Kashyyyk and a snow planet floating around the group, I promise will get them all eventually.
And for any of you, that would like to experiment with the castle theme, I highly recommend the Lands of Rowia group, they're a great bunch and currently lacking members and it would be a shame to see the group die, (latest installment: merlins-beard.com/thread/1559/global-storyline-path-desti...), so yeah, feel free to go check them out!
(not really sure how I feel about advertising stuff here :P)
Happy Halloween guys and as always C&C is appreciated and TFVAHAGD!

On September 18, 1990, I took this shot on the west side of Oconomowoc of an eastbound freight running wrong main past a ballast train just after noon that day. In the photo, Tom Farence (right) stands alongside Ron Kaminen on Soo 2407 with Art Danz standing on the concrete remains of Chaffee Road Bridge. All have given a run-by inspection and have waived goodbye and safe travels to the conductor in Soo caboose #93.
I got to know Tom not in the typical face to face setting, but through email via good friend Dan Longley who knew Tom personally. Tom first helped me with an article I was writing on the Milwaukee Road's September 1968 wreck of the XL Special, and more recently as I work on a new one.
He remembered a stunning amount of details on the XL wreck, having been directly connected to it as he was assigned to bring a crane in to assist with clean-up. To no one's surprise, Tom had his camera in hand that day and shared with me some black and white images he took when he arrived.
As we emailed back and forth, it struck me; at 50 years removed from the 1968 wreck, his memory was simply amazing....names, details, times, places, even things that happened afterwards. His recollections brought a whole new level of storyline depth to my article of which I was ever so grateful.
So, like others here, I wish condolences to Tom's family and pray they find peace in this time of sadness.
Glad to have known you Tom, even if it was in a non-traditional way. Thanks for the memories (literally), the stories, and of course the photography that brought alive the inside workings of Milwaukee Road to the rest of us. Goodbye, Godspeed and rest in peace.
You can probably make up your own story from the build.
Recently I was contacted by Dyroth asking if I wanted to help him in some unofficial purge builds and of course I said yes. If you didn't know my old account was Redness and I absolutely adored the theme then so it was really fun to make this small diorama over the course of about a week.
He also made an unofficial purge group for those who still enjoy the theme and want to continue to storyline: www.flickr.com/groups/2962557@N24/
The Psychology Behind Why We Love Horror.
Fear isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Some people will spend money for the love of a scare, many would run in the opposite direction. So why is it that some crave all kinds of frightening experiences?
One reason we consume horror is to experience stimulation. Exposure to terrifying acts, or even the anticipation of those acts, can stimulate us — both mentally and physically — in opposing ways: negatively (in the form of fear or anxiety) or positively (in the form of excitement or joy).
Another reason we seek horror is to gain novel experiences. Apocalypse horror films, for example, allow us to live out alternative realities — from zombie outbreaks to alien infestations.
Lastly, horror entrainment may help us satisfy our curiosity about the dark side of human psyche. Observing storylines in which actors must confront the worst parts of themselves serves as a pseudo character study of the darkest parts of the human condition.
A bitter cold climate dominated Thorhaven, asylum to jobless sailors and criminals of all kinds. Transshipment point for stolen goods and even slaves.
As Jon wandered through the city, he spotted a tied boy carried by a man utterly dressed in black. He sneaked closer and listened: "25 Guilder , my final offer!" "It's a boy in best condition, you got to be kidding!", the man, presumably Cassius, shouted. Jon thought:
Option 1:"I'm going to sneak over and cut the bind, on the quiet!"
Option 2:"Enough is enough, time to show Cassius, that he can't do whatever he wants!"

Our Daily Challenge: Can't live Without -- I gave today's challenge a lot of thought. What is it that you truly can't live without? Once upon a time, I thought that I knew the answer to this, but as it turns out, i really didn't. I've been given this incredible life. I thought that the storyline was settled, that all I had to do was continue upon the same path, and all would be well. Life has a way of changing things up a bit, and with the death of my husband, the life that I had chosen, the one that I couldn't live without, was gone. I had to re-invent my life, start over, and look to within myself to find that which I could not live without, and interestingly enough that which I cannot live without, is me. We all have stories, we all have personal tragedies and triumphs, but what we really need, is to find peace within. Yes, you can exist without finding peace with yourself, but you really can't live. With inner peace, not only can you live, but you can enjoy all that life gives you such as the moments of beauty just after sunrise this morning.
Thank you so much for your views, comments and favs. I really do appreciate every one!

The General arrived a little after 12:50. He wore full body armor.
General Grayson: Alright men, you are tasked with infiltrating New York City. The RACU has control over most of it.
I shifted, I didn't like the idea of sneaking into enemy territory. But I guess that is what I signed up for.
Lieutenant Banks: How do you plan on getting us in?
The General smiled a little.
General Grayson: We will deploy you in the less inhabited part of the city and you will walk from there. Good luck.
We saluted him. He saluted back. Time to go to work.

First of all, my apologies for the sucky quality of the picture. My IPhone is getting old and finding the right angle to make this look as nice as it looks in RL was hard.
Anyway, this is obviously a revamp of Uxar. Most of my "revamps" are actually not revamps of the actual creature; but are meant as Rahi for my storyline.
I tried to base it on this amazing drawing (36.media.tumblr.com/08bac475a77c6e387e281aae654f0f95/tumb... ) and I'm slowly getting there. It will never be completely accurate as I wanted it to be smaller than the actual Uxar. I'm currently stuck due to lack of parts, but it's nothing a bricklink order can't fix !
So. It’s been a year. A year since I said I was quitting MOCing. A lot has happened in that year, and most of that began in July and indirectly caused my hiatus.
I’ve been doing alright since then. Still doing great in school. Focusing on writing and producing music as a creative outlet (even though at the moment I don’t have much to show for it). As some of my friends from Discord know, freaking out about random stuff, mostly involving dealing with other people.
Lately, the memories of the joy of MOCing have returned to me, and I remembered a few of the ideas I’ve still had on the mental shelf for a while. I have a feeling I may yet be ready to continue making MOCs for a storyline based on a dead theme.
It just might happen.
Juuuuuuust might.
Get out of my walled infinity

Of my mouthful of sun
Get out of the cosmic sea of my blood
Of my flow of my ebb
Get out of my stranded silence
Get out I said get out
Get out of my living abyss
Of the bare father-tree within me
Get out how long must I cry get out
Get out of my bursting head
Get out just get out

Jon beheld the blacksmith from afar. He knelt outside, a sorrowed expression on his face and a small piece of cloth in his hand. „My son“, the blacksmith whimpered, „they took him.“ „That is why you informed me, sir?“, Jon asked, trying to sound as bold as possible. „Uhm, I don’t“…„Anyway“, Jon interrupted, „which direction did they take?“ „They headed south, screaming something about ransom money.“ Jon said:
Option 1: „Don’t worry, Sir. I’m going to track them down. Lend me a weapon, to arm myself!“
Option 2: „Sir, i will inform my father. He’s got money as well as manpower to get your beloved son back.“

"Nothing is too small to be a mistake."
“There are no coincidences in life. What person that wandered in and out of your life was there for some purpose, even if they caused you harm. Sometimes, it doesn’t make sense the short periods of time we get with people, or the outcomes from their choices. However, if you turn it over to God he promises that you will see the big picture in the hereafter. Nothing is too small to be a mistake.”
Shannon L. Alder.
I often get confused by the storylines, I try to figure out beforehand if it'll be something positive or negative. But it doesn't work. Mysterious. Fate picks a topic that seems to be the main character, And then suddenly, sneaky out of a dark corner, the real star of the show appears. Mysterious surprise.
