Inspired by Legophthalmos' Witch King Rises build I wanted to try something a bit dark for this build, I liked the idea of lots of skeletons and decided that the meeting would take place in some catacombs. Anyway I quite enjoyed this attempt at something different!

At night...
It was serendipity. While tracing gull steps at my favorite beach, I spied something flash in the sand. An old bottle had washed up and something was inside. After wrestling with the cork, I pulled out a folded piece of paper. It was from my LA friend, Hillany, who had disappeared on her way to a Phish concert nearly two months ago!!
I read with shaking hands. She'd been gone so long. No one had heard from her and we feared for her safety. She thought nothing of going off on her own with only her backpack and relying on the generosity of other Phish fans.
The note was short. It read: "HELP! I am hostage in a warehouse near Seattle. Guys have guns and bad breath. Please find me. Hillany Scofield."
My first thought was to contact our friend Doutz who lived near there and get her on the case. There was no time to waste!

Decided to make Apex Lex, from the ongoing Year of the Villain storyline. Really wish there were better legs I could use for detailing, but alas..

I imagine a group of these swarming after an intruder. They can be taken down easily, so the main reason to have these in a storyline is to make whomever's fighting them look cool XD

By 1918, the number of feature films that either principally or in large part dealt with The First World War, either on the battlefield or as a homefront issue, surpassed 200 of the 845 features produced in the United States. Plots for the war-related films ran the gamut from homefront dramas, comedies and melodramas, to stirring battlefield or espionage adventures. In the comedy-drama Johanna Enlists, actress Mary Pickford, then the biggest female star in the world and known as "America's Sweetheart," portrayed a bored farm girl who becomes the center of attention when a regiment of soldiers camp on her family's property. Stolen Orders, released in the same year as Johanna Enlists, was a film typical of the convoluted espionage adventures popular at the time, with the addition of actual war footage and newsreels of U.S. President Woodrow Wilson delivering a speech.
The early 1910s was an era that produced a large number of melodramas, and the increasingly popular theme of the tragic circumstances endured by a soldier, nurse or innocent farmer were well-suited to the war film. The war provided a suitable backdrop for melodramas such as A Daughter of France and The Little American, the latter in which Pickford shows her typically American grit when facing a firing squad in France, just as her German-American sweetheart, who enlisted in the German army, sees the error of his ways and renounces the Kaiser.
In addition to the large number of fictional films that relied on nineteenth-century plot devices such as coincidence, complicated storylines and exaggerated emotion the public also saw, for the first time, significant numbers of documentaries and newsreels of actual battlefield experiences. Beginning in early 1915, such films as History of the Great European War brought the war more vividly into the lives of civilians. Although the US government did not play a large role in the production of war propaganda films (as it would later do prior to and during World War II), it did make a few documentaries about the war, including 1918's Pershing's Crusaders, billed as the first "United States Official War Film."

The slow paced and quiet life of Living Echoes, though, was about to be shaken, as soon as the Unweaver managed to set its roots. Not only some of the elves, but also the native creatures and animals fell victim of this ultimate Evil. And yet the Unweaver failed in thinking that claiming those souls, they would have been completely gone and forgotten, for the love and affection stays forever, and through the never-ending stream of the city’s river, memories and reality are entwined. In Living Echoes, every victim of the Unweaver is honoured, and echoes of their lives still linger, ever present.
If you take a stroll along the bridges, or through one of the forest path, you might encounter a Living Echo. Stop by. Listen to their stories, and don’t forget them. For nobody truly leaves in Living Echoes, and nothing is truly lost.

Prequel
In the year 2034 numerous nuclear outbreak in Japan and the wear of poverty in north Korea take its toll on the countries, leaving them deprived of resources essential to their growth. This did not go unnoticed by the newly brought up Chinese Empire. They took this to their advantage in offering to share the plentiful resources that they owned in their country (as a result or their industrial change) in return for alliance with the country’s military power and overlook of their political movements. Korea refused, however out of sheer desperately, the government of Japan agreed. China gains a mild control over Japan and develops a bridge colony that connects the two countries together, However the two’s relationship remains delicate.
In the year 2045 the bridge colony of the Chinese Empire, remains a neutral ground for both Japan and the various military governments of the opposing Asian countries beyond China. This lay as the only structure of support in China’s and Japan's unstable relationship.
Bridge colony is a floating cityscape developed by china. It lies in the space of water that separates Japan, China and Korea. It also acts as a bridge for supplies resources workers and Intel. The sheer resources and man power of China provide Japan with plentiful to get by.
The Edge of dust and the brink of war
After the reluctant agreement to side with The Chinese Empire, Japan took to lurking within the safe confinements of its own boarders, it accepted supplies graciously, whilst the shadow of hatred lurked within their eyes. The Japanese government didn’t take lightly the Idea of siding with that which should be considered an enemy and thus fuelled by the fires of the past, Japan began to plan their rebel.
Under the looming eye of the Chinese empire, Japan played safe. They carried out acts through their dwindling military power as a set-up, acting as a blindfold to the Chinese, thus making them oblivious to what was going on under there very noses. Japan separated itself as a secret PMC in their own country, Known as the Japanese Liberation Guild.
February 2 2045 1:35AM
The late winter air hurtles through the age torn structure of the Bridge colony. The people take shelter from the cold. The crowded streets become scarce of activity. Offcourse The Japanese Liberation Guild Did not programme their drones to “feel”. Chinas fatal mistake was its pride of power, they wouldn’t expect retaliation from Japan. They Chinese Empire thought that the supply of resources would act as a safeguard to prevent what it chose to shut out of its mind. Revenge. On February 2nd 2045 The Bridge Colony is stormed by Japan. Their troops are already thick within the city by the time the Chinese Empire is fully made aware of their presence.

it was only 58 years ago and so much has changed. Baldwin VO-1000 leads an eastbound Tidewater Southern freight down 9th street crossing the intersection with J street that carries California Highway 108 up into the Sierras. It was an era of TV antennas and mid-60s Fords and Chevys and a few VW microbuses as well. Modesto at this time was inspiriting George Lucas to create storylines about his youth growing up here. Surprisingly many rail photographers emerged from this City during this era including Dick Dorn, myself, Ted Benson and others.
7417: Temple of Mount Everest
The last main set of the Himalayan chapter of the Orient Expedition. This needed a massive update.
The design was based on the architecture of the Tiger's Nest Monastery located in Bhutan (further east of Everest). With usage of some very unique Lego colours (light brown and very light grey) to add to the build.
I sketched up a concept first, trying to gain a sense of the temple design in my mind's eye.
The interior is a lot more detailed than the original. With a few special additions. On the first floor sits an updated design of the old totem from the original. I came up with this strange concept that the totem holds a compass that is actually pointing to the location of the sword. Above that is a small artefacts room, with mysterious objects and curio found or given to the temple for safe keeping. Above that is a small shrine area and a small bell tower.
I wasn't entirely sure what to add to the smaller tower, but the statue is significant. It basically hints at what the Adventurers will need to do with the golden objects once they reach China.
And of course below lies the chamber where the sword is kept. The gryffindor sword was the ideal candidate for the golden sword.
Sam Sinister's biplane is a tweaked and recoloured version of my bi wing baron design (I kind of like to keep a bit of continuity in the Adventurers storyline).
The only merged part in this set is the strings for the prayer flags. Were this physical they would be thicker Lego ropes and tied to the points.

This MOC is a foray into landscape building which I have not really done until now. For presentation purposes I’ve added a generic Jungle Explorer minifig for now.
This tree will play a vital part in the storyline of „Full Steam 2“. Make sure to follow and check back in in 2022 when the show posts!

I've always been a dreamer. I mean sleep dreams, not the other kind. But my dreams always seemed sporadic and manifested largely in short bursts. Almost like TV commercials of short duration and limited scope. Some months ago this changed into a full-on movie length format. The moment I fall asleep, even if just for a few minutes, entire storylines play out as if scripted by highly imaginative writers. There are plots, characters, situations, and on and on. Usually there's a beginning, middle, and end, although some of it gets a little murky. I always wonder if that's how the dream went, our if the murkiness has more to do with my in avidly to recall every nuance. Dreams have a way of fading with each passing moment after one awakens. But these dreams have a lasting effect, and I can often recall details hours or days later. The dreams can involve actual life events, however they are after all dreams so there's still the element of anything goes (such as the ability to spontaneously levitate off the ground, or my favorite offshoot is taking a long jump and managing to keep my feet off the ground for minutes; oh how I love that feeling!). The characters that appear to me include a variety of people from real life, as you might imagine. But they freely consort interact with dead people, people from my distant past, as well as famous people and often Hollywood actors. Bizarre combinations and connections that, at least in the dream, seem perfectly normal. The weirdness usually only develops when I analyze the dream through there lens of wakefulness. And so it goes, every night. It's a wonderful metaphor for how I often see the world around me, both photographically and in real interactions. The harshness or reality juxtaposed against the surreal dreamworld. And my constant desire to surf that boundary line.

The Death Demons, or Shino Akuma, began as an acting troupe that would accompany the soldiers on military expeditions. During the travel and at base camps the Death Demons staged plays with storylines and visuals designed to incite bloodlust and motivate the troops to combat.
Training for their elaborate performances, which included many mock battles, was comprised of acting, mimicry, intense physical fitness, and acrobatic disciplines.
Noting their unique skills, military commanders began asking the Death Demons to perform missions that included secret incursion, disguise and assassinations.
The Death Demons excelled and now, though the shows still go on, they are known more for their ability to sway battles rather than stage shows.
Mysterious potions, exploding clouds of dense, multicolored smoke, poison blow-darts and disguised seduction are just a few of the weapons in the arsenal of the Death Demons.
If you are a military commander for the opposition, pray they do not target you.

Part 5: Grandmother lives on a beautiful farm; Pippi’s monkeys are more than welcome, because they aren’t the only animals there. “Pippi, meet my new horse, Maximus. He knows the way to pull the big sleigh; it’s too bad we don’t have any snow right now, or we could go for a ride.”

This is my portion of the InnovaLUG Moses flashmoc which you can find on the InnovaLUG website. The portion of Moses' storyline that I chose to build comes from Exodus 8--

To be completely honest, the main reason I chose this passage is that I wanted an excuse to order a lot of frogs :D

Storyline:
Like many followers of the Lord Jesus, Yu Fan focused on studying the Bible, cast everything aside to pay the price of suffering for the Lord, and sought to serve the Lord with enthusiasm. She thought that by pursuing her faith this way, when the Lord returns she would definitely be raptured into the heavenly kingdom. When Yu Fan, in order to realize this beautiful dream, enthusiastically preached and worked for the Lord, her fellow workers raised a difficult question: Although the sins of us believers have been forgiven, although we cast everything aside and pay the price of suffering for the Lord, we still often reveal our corruption, we still sin and oppose the Lord. God is holy, so how can corrupt people like us ever be worthy of His praise? Are we qualified to enter the kingdom of heaven? This didn't inspire Yu Fan to reflect at all, not until she had a discussion with preachers from the Church of Almighty God. Then, Yu Fan was able to understand the mysteries of rapture. She finally was able to awake from her dream, and firmly believed that Almighty God was her long-awaited Savior, the Lord Jesus.

Abdul and Jon reached the lands of the mysterious monarch Gong Bao. With a few hints from intimidated locals they finally beheld the beautiful rice terraces, something Jon had never seen before. It took a while till they spotted the blacksmith's son. "Uaagh", Abdul grouched as he accidentally dropped in the water. "We are here to help you, young man", he said. "Oh, I remember you", the son said pointing at Jon, "they knocked you out at the pier." "Uhm, I guess so", Jon said, "but..let's get out of here. I think we should pay Gong Bao for you, shouldn't we Abdul?". Abdul answered:

These two steam locomotives have been placed on plinths at the site of the former Puerto Montt railway station which is now part of a newly errected promenade. Quite why they have been painted in these gaudy colours I don't know. In fact I have found photographs going back to 2020 which shows them both in their original EFE state railway livery. Maybe we can blame the likes of the Thomas the Tank Engine storyline for influencing their point jobs. They are just missing a smiling face on the smokebox door.
EFE 478 (the red one) is a Baldwin of an unknown date whilst EFE 606 was built by Sociedad de Maestranzas y Galvan.
An old sea dog told Jon and Abdul about the destination of the last ship: The land of the rising sun. Abdul invested some gold and the duo got a spot aboard a ship to said land.
"This ship is armed with weapons which are only available in this distant land, I'm excited!", Abdul said with childlike joy. "I'm a bit worried, how are we going to get the son back, Abdul?", Jon asked thoughtful. Abdul answered:
Option 1: "We're going to search for him in the rice fields of monarch Gong Bao, which the sea dog mentioned!"
Option 2:"We should visit monarch Gong Bao in his residence and buy the son's freedom, I think."

Thank you for taking the time to drop over to our sim and check things out during this 1 week of OOC Preview. This OOC Preview is from 6th July (Friday) 9PM SLT to 13th July (Friday) 9PM SLT. During this week of Public Preview, there will be no role play and everyone can simply walk around and explore the current exterior of the castle. Please note that although we're open for preview, there are still various areas unbuilt and unready to fit our storyline. If you're interested in looking at the sim unfold, please do apply as a member. After the OOC preview, some areas will be available to public, but majority will be closed to members only.

There is a new SiFi sim in town!
My old friend Kitten Caboose from those cool peeps over at The Grove Art Center has created this unique futuristic environment, really well laid out with some superb details.
I was lucky enough get to do a shoot in the Kidd way going BIG, last week. While my interpretation strays from the builders intended storyline a tad, I had a blast making my frames!

The story of Three Finger Pines:
Once a thriving, green world, the planet Seva was rich with towering flora. But centuries of unchecked consumerism, pollution, and climate collapse shattered its natural balance. The soil turned sterile; the skies choked with toxins.
The Seravarian race emerged from this collapse, desperate to save what remained of their dying world. They launched a small fleet of ships into the galaxy, searching for planets with atmospheres that echoed their lost home. One such vessel crash-landed on Earth—deep within an isolated region of Canada’s boreal forest known as Three Finger Pines.
Remote and largely untouched, Three Finger Pines is a land of towering pines, sprawling wetlands, and near-complete isolation. To the Seravarians, it was a living memory of what Seva once was.
They have not come to resettle Earth, but to learn from its biosystem. By studying the region’s genetic blueprints—its plants, spores, and soil—they hope to unlock the secrets needed to reawaken Seva’s long-lost ecosystem.

Cinema is one of those truly magical things that we take for granted. I am not one for all these new films that are seemingly just around to make money. You know the ones I mean. The ones with several hundred or so sequels where the storyline is much the same and nothing really happens. I adore those small film theatres that show those independent films that draw you in, inspire you and make you think. What are your favourite films?
This was a snapshot I took early last year on Brighton beach. Look at those seagulls! They're monsters plotting things. I bet they're searching for someone eating a plate of chips so they can swoop down and steal them.
I'll never forget the seagull that stole my ice cream when I was 5. Bad times!

I decided to base London's story around abc family's 'The Lying Game'
The storyline for the show focuses on London, a rich daughter of a multi-millionaire living in Beverly Hills who has lived the high, privileged-life since she was born.
