CLXX 6002, 6003, and 6004 bring loaded BPRR coke hoppers around the curve at sample. This was only my second time shooting these, and even though they’re not the prettiest, I can’t say I don’t like them.
Sixties at Sunset.
Norfolk Southern local freight train P45 is just on to the Z line in Seneca, South Carolina, as a gorgeous sunset takes place behind. Leading the train is a great duo of GP60s, both consecutively numbered. The 7139 up front is sporting the older "non-horsehead" Norfolk Southern paint. The trailing 7138 is a more recent repaint. Getting a duo of GP60s anywhere these days is quite a rarity on class one rail lines. NS seems to keep their fleet employed on locals up and down the Peidmont between Atlanta and Washington DC. This was a great way to cap off an excellent day of photographing in the area. More to come soon.
Thanks for looking and enjoy!
CN 5481 and 5471 lead a 141 car M347 over the Nemadji River near Saunders, WI on March 15, 2014. Love the former Missabe all steel bridges in this territory and CN sends plenty of trains over here, some with cool power like this secondhand SD60 pair. Would take a minor miracle to see maroon leading over one of these bridges on the Wisconsin side though.

Having lots of dilemmas/problems with this whole camera thing. I know God has a plan, though. Like my devotional said this morning, "Can all your worries add a single moment to your life? And if worry can't accomplish a little thing like that, what's the use of worrying over bigger things?" - Luke 12:25-26
There's not too many of these neon "Martinizing" signs left. I used to see them all over, now, it's a rarity for one to be spotted.
It is not uncommon to walk through a passage about 60 cm (two feet) wide when touring a Mediterranean village. Space was always limited and pirates found it difficult to invade when they had to pass one by one. Security was of paramount importance around 1700 AC.
Pyles, Karpathos island, Greece.

Train 280 plows through West Salem, WI under extremely snowy conditions with SOO 6053 with the honors to yank the train across Wisconsin. You all ready for this again?
Running an hour early, Cappagh blue 60028 rumbles across the River Soar at Normanton with the 6Z60 Humberstone Road to Chaddesden Sidings on April 23 2021. Despite a sixty minute head start from Leicester, the train was half an hour down arriving at Chad.

I haven't posted an FPA4 picture in a while, and after seeing Charlie Whipp's F-unit Friday offering, I was inspired. So here's a shot of the 6763 speeding Rapido train 63 past the Brockville ON station and parked train number 2, the stainless steel and dome car equipped Canadian, on 12 June 1983.
It was a lengthy process getting this panorama together.
It consists of 8 images (3 exposures per frame) and stitched together using PTGui - a marvellous software to use.
I was extremely lucky that the hour difference between the first 4 frames and last 4 frames merged well but wish the background landline appeared straighter.
