Photo of the sunset, from this very afternoon, as the clouds grew, began to be dyed golden yellow, it would have taken some reddish tones to give it even more color, but today was the day, we will wait for the next sunset or sunrise.
I had this picture in mind since before I took it. Also, I was thinking about framing and editing the image. The day, he had woken up, with a sky full of menacing clouds and a cold air, typical of winter. It was fair, what i expected a sky full of clouds, I wanted to give strength to the image, with that sky and editing it in black and white. On the other hand, I wanted to convey the moment, a gray, cold day, the empty square practically, few were the brave ones who went out on the street. I was one of them, I went out precisely to capture, the image I had in my head and this is the result. What do you think?.
A different view of the San Francisco Bay Bridge, standing at the shore of Yerba Buena Island below the bridge. A steep footpath leads down to the shore, sometimes just over rocks. I did not have the right shoes for this, but I was determined to get a shot of the San Francisco skyline from this vantage point. It was worth while. I used an ND filter to get washed out waves at night.
I processed a balanced HDR photo from a long exposure in RAW format.

Don't think sorry's easily said
Don't try turning tables instead
You've taken lots of chances before
But I ain't gonna give anymore
Don't ask me
That's how it goes
'Cause part of me knows what you're thinking
Don't say words you're gonna regret
Don't let the fire rush to your head
I've heard the accusation before
And I ain't gonna take any more
Believe me
The sun in your eyes
Made some of the lies worth believing
I am the eye in the sky
Looking at you
I can read your mind
I am the maker of rules
Dealing with fools
I can cheat you blind
And I don't need to see any more to know that
I can read your mind
Don't leave false illusions behind
Don't cry cause I ain't changing my mind
So find another fool like before
Cause I ain't gonna live anymore believing
Some of the lies while all of the signs are deceiving
I am the eye in the sky
Looking at you
I can read your mind
I am the maker of rules
Dealing with fools
I can cheat you blind
And I don't need to see any more to know that
I can read your mind

We spent a few days in Colorado. Today we did some sightseeing in Georgetown and Silver Plume, both historical towns in the Rocky Mountains, West of Denver. Silver Plume is a former silver mining camp; the "living ghost town" currently has 200 souls. We went to an abandoned silver mine just above the town. The mine entrance was easy to recognize, just follow the rusty rails. I could crawl into the mine a few meters until it was blocked with a metal mesh. The mine is filled with water, the ceiling is reflecting in the water. One rail can be seen in the water. It was a fun experience.
I processed a balanced HDR photo from a RAW long exposure. I had difficulty to focus in the darkness, so I set the aperture to 8 and shot in manual mode with time delay to increase the odds of a sharp photo.

Two years ago we went to the Upper Antelope Canyon near Page, Arizona. It's a very unique slot canyon, definitely something I recommend anyone to have on the bucket list. The canyon is in a Navajo Indian reservation - you have to take a guided tour to see it. We took a tour at around noon, at that time you get these nice beams shining straight down the narrow canyon.
I had the camera on automatic when I took three exposures holding the camera against the wall. The ISO was high, so I used the JPG files instead of the RAW ones for HDR processing because Sony has very good in-camera noise reduction. The natural HDR processing brings out the micro-contrast, while retaining natural colors and tones.

My 7yo son and my 2.5yo niece are running away for exploring San Gimignano.
My sister in law (her mother, on the right) is chasing them... mission impossible! 😅
The blurry image is an experiment... it should enhance the idea of motion, by also communicating the anxiety of us parents. 😅😅😅
I hope that you will like the result, dear friends. 🙋♂️
This particular hotel's hallway, close to Tokyo station in Tokyo, is just down right long, dark and narrow. You couldn't help but thinking something creepy is waiting at the other end.

The San Francisco Bay Bridge is not as famous as the Golden Gate Bridge, nevertheless it is a very pretty structure.
Today I gave a "composition in the field" class to students of the Digital Photo Academy. We learned about ND (neutral density) filters in broad daylight. For this photo I stacked two ND8 filters, set the ISO to 100 and aperture to f22 to get an exposure time of 4 seconds. This smoothes out the waves nicely. The ND filters also change the colors a bit, e.g. they are not totally neutral. We get these beautiful turquoise tones because of it.
