Alrededor de 200 perros con sus amos participaron en la primera fecha del circuito de “Perro Running 2012” en Viña del Mar, actividad recreativa realizada en la Av. Perú y organizada por la Casa del Deporte.
En la distancia de 1.400 metros, las mascotas junto a sus propietarios corrieron juntos, disfrutando de una agradable jornada de actividad física.
La alcaldesa Virginia Reginato destacó la participación en esta iniciativa única en la región: “Estoy muy contenta con la motivación y la cantidad de participantes, que demuestra cómo se puede hacer deporte de manera entretenida e involucrando a toda la familia, que además promueve la tenencia responsable de animales”.
La competencia de dividió en tres categorías de acuerdo al tamaño del perro, registrándose el siguiente resultado:
Mascotas pequeñas: 1º Cristóbal Inostroza (Perla); 2º Francisco Zúñiga (Max); 3º Lucas Campos (Alvi).
Mascotas medianas: 1º Daniel Saenz (Ana Betania); 2º Tomás Muñoz (Osita); 3º Patricio Pizraro (Luna) .
Mascotas Grandes: 1º Rafael Méndez (Crak); 2º Felipe Gallardo (Ozzy); 3º Eric Gre (Fedra).
Además de los ganadores que recibieron de premio alimentaos para los perros, capas y otros elementos para mascotas, la alcaldesa entregó regalos a través de sorteos y a los animales que más llamaron la atención, ya que uno de ellos incluso corrió con zapatillas, como asi también personas con coches y sus mascotas
La próxima fecha será el 19 de mayo 2012.

The Balloch to Clydebank Half Marathon of 2019. Snow, Sleet and torrential rain couldn't stop the race going ahead.
The Inaugural Cill Dara RFC 10K Run/Walk took place on Sunday 15th of April 2012. The event started and finished at the club grounds of Cill Dara RFC at Beechpark Kildare (close to Kildare town). The race route was run in the scenic Kildare countryside with the route following up Dunmurray hill close to the start.
There were approximately 150 entrants - and the race was well organised and stewarded by Cill Dara RFC and the Irish Army from the Curragh.

It has rained daily during the past week and has been too wet to mow. Finally had a chance to mow. Now I need to rake up the piles of grass.
Whenever Olivia needed a break from homeschooling work she was doing, she would run around the backyard and either jump over the piles of grass or weave in and out of them.
Then she'd come back to her blanket and pillow and start working again - either on language arts, reading, or map skills.
