Former South African Railways 1958 UK built NGG16 Class 2-6-2+2-6-2 Garratt locomotive No143, is captured running round it's train at Caernarfon, having worked in on the inaugural 'The Harbourmaster' 10.05 Porthmadog-Caernarfon (12.25) service of the year on the Welsh Highland Railway.

I had walked a bit off limits of the Ganasha Ratha monument in Mamalapuram and found dried grass full of shit. Indians like Sri Lankans consider many public places as public toilets and needing to do a little wee-wee I followed the trail. When I walked back towards the main area I saw this Muslim boy who was running and skipping like he didn’t have any cares in the world. I just stood and watched in awe and somewhere along that time I took a photo. Can’t really remember that I did, but I love the way it turned out. Reminds me of how careless life is supposed to be.
Mamalapuram is an old village south of Chennai in India. It’s rather touristy being as close as it is to the international Anna airport in Chennai, but at the same time it’s a village with a lot of charm. There are whole areas of old temples that one can visit and walk around in freely. The view is astonishing and the seaside is filled with small fishing boats waiting to go out and catch their big score.
Stone carvings is probably what Mamalapuram is mostly famous for and everywhere you go there are expert craftsmen sitting with chisels in their hand carving stone sculptures as if though they were working with butter. Truly amazing to see them practice their magic. From what I’ve heard a lot of the stone carvings you buy in the rest of India comes from here. Prices are also lower than in the rest of the country.
Our Dinner tonight , was almost like the meal you would ( well I do anyway ) on Boxing Day .
Cold Ham , Cold Chicken , Chips with two fried Eggs and some Pickled Onions !

apparently, the little white dog to the right was in with the bigs dogs because it really enjoyed to rustle them up! LOL (according to the owner). I JUST LOVE that little white dog!!
Running right to me was Wanda, she's one and a half yrs old.
behind her is Bo, can't remember his age, sorry!!!

Velvet......was behind me as she wasn't too sure of the amount of dogs here! it was literally full of dogs, but most of them were so very well behaved!!

On a recent long walk down the Regent's Canal from Camden to Bethnal Green I took a lot of pictures.
