This guy was interesting. I was on the little bridge down by Castlefield and it was covered in sand - this guy skidded down it using it as a slide, and I expressed surprise. He said it was the best one for it, he then proceeded to run and then jump over the railings to continue his run. His clothing is unusual too, I've never seen anyone running in clothing like this.

You are born on the most frigid, desolate days of winter. Furless and about the size of a grapefruit, you snuggle next to mom for warmth. She may not even be aware that you have been born. You nurse and grow until it is time to emerge from the den. Mom is everything. She protects and feeds you. She teaches you to fear even other bears, for they might harm you. At the slightest provocation she encourages you to climb the nearest tree for safety. For a year and a half she is everything. She is your entire world. Mom is the only thing you trust and love. She teaches you what’s good to eat and what to avoid. She makes certain you are safely tucked away if she must go out for food, and always returns for you. She rewards you when you are good and scolds you when you don’t listen. Suddenly, at about a year and a half mom turns on you. It happens without provocation. Not only isn’t she loving and protective, she is downright dangerous. She chases you the way she has always chased other bears. Your world suddenly implodes. You are alone. Perhaps you have a sibling to keep you company but the most sacred trust, that between a mother and a child, has been broken. All older bears will chase you and now your knight in shining armor does the same. It is time to trust nothing and fear everything, you are running scared. Such is the life of every bear cub. #BlackBearCubs

Something a little more cheerful after yesterday's lonesome photo. This is Keegan making fresh tracks in a new blanket of snow in my backyard. I dare you not to smile.

You shall pay dearly as your blood stains the river running red.

A female Ruddy Duck is running across the waters along with twenty or so other members of the flock. A male is in the background.

They are in a period of flightless molt and the runs occur several times an hour sometimes sending other species of nearby rafting ducks into a flight panic. I think the runs maintain the strength of the Ruddy's wing muscles.

After dying in Billings, the Laurel to Billings and return transfer job is half way back to Laurel with a fresh crew as they run wrong main. It was nice to see a pair of old logo SD40-2's up front.

Just a couple more of these amazing shiny tights. I've found taking photos on my phone tends to de-empahsize the shine, as it tries to do HDR and make everything semi-even brightness. But here, these taken from a video, you can really see it shine!

The Climax waits patiently in 2 road at Emerald as 6A arrives with a late running pass ex Gembrook. 6A & its train had to wait at Cockatoo for 2 hours as there was a bushfire nearby. 10/10/15
