I absolutely salute to this grandpa still participate the Marathon running at this age ! Please be noticed that he got a funny gesture with his tongue out of his mouth !
PARKRUN #223 - (Wycombe Rye parkrun)
Since achieving my CI (exercise intolerance diagnosis in June 2023) PB 3 weeks ago my times have been slowly slipping backwards again with today being my slowest running time in 9 weeks - still, not too bad for a veteran with a dicky ticker.
Distance: 5.00km
Time: 37:09 - (my overall PB remains 26:32, post Covid PB 30:31, CI PB 35:40, AFib PB 36:45)

The L571 local running westbound over the circa 1897 truss bridge over the Cedar River near MP282 I had little time to set up the exposure and focus on this shot. This bridge has had water near or over the rails in 1993,1999 and 2008 (and probably a few others I am not aware of) During 100+ year flood events, the CNRR usually parks heavy rock ballast cars on it to stabilize the structure. A plate girder bridge on the old CGW bridge downriver a few miles did not survive the 2008 flood, and was rebuilt about 18 months after that flood.

Firstly; massive thanks to Kat and Rowan for getting me access to trackside on the Bluebell Railway. Double thanks to Row for the guided tour around the restoration areas and for answering all my inane questions! I owe you both a drink.
This is one of the trains running on the famous Bluebell Railway in the heart of Sussex it's an amazing place and if you are in the area I can highly recommend a visit.

ODC. Simple Pleasures. There is nothing greater than driving around looking for a photo subject - and to see one! However it was getting late and I was not fast enough to get a nice clear image of this fox as he ran across the road. Oh well, its still fun!
Taken at Newbrownii Watering Hole in Etosha National Park. It was very interesting to watch the impact the lioness being there had on the other animals - a long "queue" formed with very few animals prepared to risk a drink! After some time a younger lioness cam along and at first seemed submissive but then chased the older lioness off
