The rascals did a fun race today. William did extremely well and has a new medal for his collection. Alexandra, erm, did well.
And then we all ate pizza. We're all good at that!
Every week, I go running with a dear friend. We became friends when we worked together. We discovered that we had a lot in common. We even spent a week in New York City together last summer. We no longer work together, but meet up halfway in between our offices every Thursday night for a run along the river.
M has been a runner for a long time, but I've only been running since the end of last summer. However, since M is one of the most convincing people I know, she got me to keep running through the winter.
One cold January day, she casually tossed out "so, we should find a half-marathon to enter this spring." And, because she is convincing, we will be running the Middlebury Maple Run, the sweetest half marathon, later this month.
This is me after an 11.5 mile training run. ZOMG, tired!
Also, I am wearing my Feetures socks here. $10 gym socks seem kind of ridiculous, when most of my socks are, like, 3 pairs for $5 at TJ Maxx or Target. But these are totally worth it for my long runs -- no blisters!
The 140 Vintage Running Day on 23rd November 2019 commemorated the service of route 140 to Heathrow Airport, with RTs, RMs and Ms running the full route from Heathrow up to Harrow Weald, Bus Garage. Some journeys even continued along the old 140 route to Mill Hill (which is now the 114).
The weather was typically wintry: dark and wet, but nonetheless the day offered the potential for a number of unique photos.
Routemaster RM397 397CLT is seen on Bath Road, Heathrow North heading for Harrow Weald. Behind is London United Volvo B5LH / Wright Gemini 3 VH45271 LF18AXA on route 105, another historic airport connection.

Actually the train was spot on time, but I couldn't resist the title given this shot was taken from a coffee shop!

We took Angus out for his first adventure today - just a short sharp climb of Hoad Hill. Lachlan and Hamish both had a great time running about and burning off some steam... as did Roki. Jen managed fine with Angus strapped on in his carrier so we are going to attempt to get out more and do some "health" now!
No pictures of the wee man, but I did like this one of the other two running down Hoad Hill above Ulverston in Cumbria with their arms outstretched playing aeroplanes!

Hi everyone! With this picture I want to let you know we are doing fine. Including our old man (as you can see here. He is the one in the right corner). It's a real miracle he is running again. We let him run free with Shanny every now and then and he loves it, just like Shanny!
Hope you all are doing well and wishing you a Happy Furry Friday and a wonderful weekend:)
