After our snowfall of two nights ago I visited the lake. It looked like January, not mid March. Daylight Savings Time is here, but the essence of Spring is yet to come.
What started out as a question became a small marathon. I was getting shadow /reflections of the filters in the shot. So it became full clean down mirrors and filters. once put together I did a NB night and a RGB night to see if all had gone, happy to say its all clear.
What better way to really see so I did 5 nights of NB in total about 130 shots per filter. This is a Hubble SHaO pallet. One thing that showed up in those 5 night 2 am in the morning mount would disconnect. It would restart straight away once I got the port recognized. Turns out the fitting for the EQMOD cable for the mount was not firm even if the screws where. Two small slithers of a wall plug on the screws the whole thing is a tight as a drum and ran all night.
Now who cant see the chicken running Bottom left cant miss it. Still cant get over the detail in the shot.

Here is a Iowa Northern freight pulling 100+ sand cars into the storage yard at the end of the spur to the Cedar Falls, Utilities. I was shoveling snow during the end of the snow storm we were having and heard some talk on on the Iowa Northern Channel which led me to highball downtown. I missed the initial movement, but caught a light power move back from the storage yard to the train, and then caught the main movement of cars here down 5th St in downtown Cedar Falls, Iowa

A Terek Sandpiper (Xenus cinereus) was caught running in its typical posture while seeking tiny creatures underneath the muddy inter-tidal surface. They are extremely agile and very tough to approach. But most interesting is their hunting behaviour. They change the moving direction in a brisk and catch prey all of a sudden in a burst. Here it was framed in such a sequence of events and I enjoyed it very much from a distance. Pics was taken from Frasergunj sea shore in West Bengal, India.
Cars and train run in parallel whilst crossing Chepstow railway bridge. This is the second shot from my brief visit here with both diverted workings only minutes apart. 6F15 17:24 Severn Tunnel Junction to Westbury Down Yard.

This nightscape is a double exposure shot of one of the small alleys in Dotonbori area, the city centre of Osaka. In Japan even the smaller streets are a mesmerizing maze of glowing neon lights and lanterns and offer fantastic shooting opportunities, especially when the night comes.
Here the slihouette of a girl walking fast towards me gave me the opportunity of creating this artwork: most likely she's going to one of the many izakayas still open at that time of the night, but I imagined: " what if she's escaping instead"? Is she running from someone...or from something? If yes, who, or what?
...or maybe is she just running from herself?

The Harwich Boat train has arrived at Manchester Piccadilly's P5 and the engine is running round. I'm not sure of date, early 70s I think.

I am super proud of this photo. A before and after is up on my photography page, and this photo definitely looks a LOT differently than the original photo, and I am really proud of it. Tabatha is always such a willing (and gorgeous) model and I'm so glad to have her as my friend!
