This is one of the photos I took at the stud Haupt- und Landgestüt Marbach, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, in early June. The foal is a pure-bred Arabian, very cute and full of energy. I love to watch them playing and running around on the pasture for the mere joy of life.

Normally an overnight turn run to Texas City, this LHB89 is running late enough to see daylight as it rolls down UP's Galveston Sub through suburban Houston. The train also normally sees just a single wide-cab, so UP 1399 is likely heading down to Texas City to swap power with the LHB31 (GH&H Local) or YGA55 (Galveston Yard Job).

Here, 43181 and 43141 working 1H07 0835 Edinburgh to Inverness make their way out of the Highland station after slow progress through from Dalwhinnie.
In the station, 170413 sits with 1B22 1046 Inverness to Edinburgh - this was eventually caped at Perth due to the delays.
The long suffering car drivers had to endure a significant delay whilst all this took place, the poor lass in the leading car was already running late for her appointment.
