2012 is the 100th anniversary of bus route 38, and on Sunday 17th June Arriva marked the occasion by running three Routemasters from its Heritage Fleet as 'extras'. These were also joined by an RTL and RTW from the London Bus Company. No fares were charged on these buses, but passengers were invited to make a donation to Maggie's Cancer Charity. A vintage K-type bus dating from 1921 also traversed the route, carrying invited guests. As three of the 'New Bus 4 London' were also operating, the route attracted a lot of attention.
RM5 from the Arriva Heritage Fleet is seen in Dalston Lane, Dalston, on its way to Victoria. RM5 was numerically the first production Routemaster, as the first four were prototypes.

Close to it's north end on Sherbrooke Street (Route 138), coner Papineau Avenue. Montreal, Quebec.

From Valence to Orange on the "Route Nationale 7", France.
Some remains of time where RN7, linking Paris to Antibe, was the main road "of the sun". Former old gas station totems and old hotels.
The "Relais du Sud" in Valence, build in 1937. Initially a gas station and transformed as a Hotel. The building was recently classified as a historical testimony of the XXth century architecture (Art Déco) as preserved by the City of Valence.
