For the first time visiting Library of Birmingham I got the tripod out - the staff there are brilliantly accommodating and helpful, which allowed me to get much more detail in the travelator level of the library, love all the textures and colours.

Yesterday we had lunch at my favourite vintage diner, the Round-Up in Surrey. I had borscht, cabbage rolls and perogies, so good, best Ukrainian style food in the lower mainland in my opinion plus I get to imagine my Dad here in his younger days :)

This isn't how I originally designed this pillow. My vision was a much larger square pillow sewn with a circle within the square and stuffed in only the circular part. Imagine ravioli. When I stuffed the circle, the square fabric around it buckled and wrinkled and refused to cooperate with my vision. Totally confused? Me too. I salvaged what I could and made a cute little round 11" pillow.
The lifting bridge has been up for a while, so took the opportunity to go light with just the camera tripod and rotator. Bang in the middle of the road and, of course no cars! Was cold out there but at least it was dry for once. All in one shutter actuation.
