Garrett 414 has just left Thomson Junction and is rounding Christine's Curve, apparently named after the wife of legendary railway photographer Dusty Durrant.
Folklore or fact; whatever, it’s a perfect location to photograph the big Garratt working hard through the southern African bush.

I know many people had LOADS more snow than this, but I had to make do with what was local and I knew if I wanted any pics, I'd have to drive to the snow, and once I'd got this far, it seemed pointless to turn and go back. There were a few hills I came upon where I'd wished I drove a 4 x 4 LOL
Hence the title..... as most people think I'm a little bit "round the bend" when it comes to snow ;-)
I should point out that my Mum had to get coming along, she tried to tell people it was to keep an eye on me, but I know she just loves the snow too hehehehehe

I was back in London at the weekend for an IET Engineering and Technology Photographer of the Year event at the Science Museum, where I was highly commended for a photo in the 'Adult Production & Design' category.
Afterwards we went for a wander round London, which meant we ended up walking through this tunnel in King's Cross which I hadn't visited since it had just opened. This time there was actually some colour on display!
