One of my friends, Lamia, dressed up in a Diesel-punk outfit. I think she's an aviatrix (Correction: she's a "Plucky Wartime Reporter"). Great concept and she pulled it off very well.
Tech stuff: The background has a "Cross Process" Curves layer to give it more of an old time feel. Then I added a slight "Smart Blur" to soften the background so that Lamia stood out more.

This wonderful month of September I visited the home of Mystic Ed (see next photograph) to interview him regarding Francesca acknowledging him, in the credits at the end of her brand new book. (ringraziamenti).
As I rang the Mystics Bell ( a world first for me!! I rarely get the chance let alone the energy to perform such a feet) I was greeted , as he opened the door, by a waft of Fendi perfume, a blast of of Incense unmistakenly titled ` Romanza la Roma" , and a rather bewitching Mystic dressed a bit like a Biba fan from the 1960`s. He reached out a delicate hand and insisted I kissed his ring and as I did so, the lid of the ring hit me on the nose and from it came forth the strains of the Halleluiah chorus!
He minced into the Garden Room asking me to "Walk this way". I did try but the lead from my microphone kept getting stuck somewhere in between my legs and I received the most interesting feedback. I had a quick squeal also.
Mystic Ed bade me to sit down, placing a throw over the chair before I sat down with a violet coloured piece of pashmina so I would not mark the furniture.
I asked if I could hold his book that he had received through the post earlier today. He clasped his autographed copy of La Strega Bianca (The White Witch, una storia irlandese and wouldnt even let me have a quick peek!
"It has already been said that ALL women should read Francescas book" The Mystic became very serious. Now you take my photo and we will put it on flicker next to this one and I shall write all about it and why it is so important that one reads it...plus details of how to send for a copy" He gazed across at one of his impressive crystal balls, raised an eybrow and said "Wont your mummy be wondering where you are, Sonny? It will soon be past your bedtime"

"Yes I wondered about the fine laughter lines when you walked in. I thank men for mine. I got all of mine lying down you know"
I could see he was wishing me to leave, but I wont ever forget my interview with Mystic Ed, how could I?
As I made my way down the hall to `show myself out` I could hear Ed on the telephone. He was going on about `blasted repoters Joan. Oh you dont want another ten minute quick reading to you dear?" Then when he called her the great JC I nealry lost my microphone halfway down his passage. What a man of mystery! I paused awhile as he was yacking away to someone else.
"Oh for goodness sake Liz! he began, "How many corgi`s DO you want?!!"
I decided to sneak out very quickly and to see the next photograph which I myself took of our Mystic clutching what he feels is going to be a great seller and also just the beginning of a series of sequels.....that have come from the great talented mind and heart of a beautiful woman and a unique author: Francesca Diano.
