Si les hommes étaient comme des dauphins, nous vivrions dans l'harmonie et le bonheur.
Thinking outside of the box! :) Have a happy week everyone :)!
The reflective surface of the screen protector on my cell phone caused me a lot of frustration this week, many times making it impossible to see. I was taking a photo of these backlit leaves high overhead and was cursing my reflection, but I kind of thought it looked cool, too. After taking the intended shot, I immediately flipped to the selfie mode and took the shot of me looking up. I made a composite of the two photos. This is actually closer to what I was seeing as I took the photo because of the reflection!
The lonely survivor of numerous storms at Portencross, this thorn bush stands isolated from the hedge at the edge of a hoof-marked cattle field. This is a panorama of 4 vertical images.
Prompts: At last...my love has come along. My lonely days are over. And life is like a song.

The More London Complex reflects off the wet paving on an empty Boxing Day morning in London.
More London is a new development on the south bank of the River Thames, immediately south-west of Tower Bridge in London. It includes the City Hall, a sunken amphitheatre called The Scoop, office blocks, shops, restaurants, cafes, and a pedestrianized area containing open-air sculptures and water features, including fountains lit by coloured lights.

Lone male mallard out in the lake caught my eye. So common but still beautiful. This one's head was not solid green.
I really wanted there to be a bit of a Gothic vibe for this image. Something dark, moody and elegant. Hope you like.
From St Albert, I noticed the sky starting to open in the north west around 7, and took a chance. Drove down to Edmonton, with about 30 minutes to spare before the sun set at 8:15. Sometimes the sky closes down, or it transforms into these brief, but incredible colours. There's a guy on the bench at the top of the hill, taking it in too.
I saw this car just parked in the street, and it was completely matte black! It was wonderfully awesome as it was very clean so that the windows were really reflective, contrasting with the sinuously smooth matt black duco.

This is another image from my outing at Edgelaw Reservoir, where a day of textures and patterns were in abundance. This scene completely stopped me in my tracks, bubbles forming on the surface, floating for quite some time before popping.
I watched as the most wonderful reflected colours danced and interacted with these patterns in the water. I was in awe of what nature produced here, a fleeting moment of beauty that felt almost magical.
