My entry for day 274 of the 2009photochallenge; the theme for the day was VERTICAL LINES. The reflected green light is from a traffic signal off camera left; the reflected red light is from the tail lights of passing cars.

View On Black

Took a drive to the river ouse in Sussex to let the dog have a run around. Obviously took the camera in case of a good shot and was graced with a brief break in the cloud to allow the sun to battle through. Took this opportunity to get a reflective shot of the river using the 17-40mm and a 0.9 soft grad filter despite the dog freaking out from gunshots in the distance then running around like a lunatic and getting the tripod, and myself completely tangled up in the dogs lead giving me a moment of panic thinking she was going to knock the camera into the river.

A few shots were taken before the sun disappeared and its amazing how different each one came out as the sky was continually changing. I think this was my fav being more dramatic. I had also used the 10 stop on another shot to give a more silky smooth look.

We all walk attached to a shadow. Some to a very long one...

The Reflective Woman, Step in the Arena 2015, Eindhoven, Netherlands, 2015

I have meet this woman during the graffiti festival Step in the Arena. She was sitting in the grass enjoying the sun, the music and the graffiti around her. Unfortunately, I could not persuade her for a talk, but she agreed to take her picture. So I did.

A beetle (probably Lamprolina sp.) shows off its shiny behind. Happy Beautiful Bug Butt Thursday everyone! (Seen in the Cumberland Plain, NSW). I am going away for a few days' holiday and will get back to posting/comments next week. :)

It was wonderful to be able to meet up with Richard Gross while in the Arizona area. The #RedforEd movement was in full swing and it was the last day of it. A busy day in Phoenix and then some photo touring time in Casa Grande, he may have had a long day but was full of energy!

Thanks for wandering around town with me, Richard! Until next time.

This is a side view of the Grist Mill / abandoned restaurant before the water hits the falls. The view in the earlier photo was looking directly at the falls.

A beautiful autumn day allowed me to capture the reflection of the building on the water.

The Barnsley scrap yards are a sad sight for any bus fan, in this shot an ex London Transport Titan is reflected in oily water, whilst waiting for it's final call.
