This shot was taken from within a hide. By looking at the logbook where people have recorded wildfowl they have seen, early morning or late afternoon is the best time.

This image was captured in Dublin's docklands. The warm light and reflections reminds me of impressionist paintings.
Still in that mood of reflection, these two photos are from 2011 so Amanda has progressed in many ways. By going to a TV Weekend I had my first experience of being "Out". It was wonderful and the seeds were sown for Amanda to go out in the world.
It is exciting to take on Amanda's personality and walk about presenting one's self as the woman you want to be.
I determined that if this was good to do then it was essential to do it to the best of my ability. I strive to do that at all times and hopefully succeed on a few occasions.
Trees and the sky reflected by a puddle on the street after the rain. Photo taken in Washington, DC.
Reflecting moments captured at the McNeely Conservatory at Como Park in St Paul MN.
The Marjorie McNeely Conservatory opened in 1915. The elegant steel and glass structure feels beautifully light, and on a sunny winter's day it is a wonderful respite from the cold.
The conservatory has several planting areas, water features, statues and sculptures. The most popular attraction is the flower shows, where the conservatory is filled with stunning flowers. The scent is incredible and can be almost overwhelming.
I may have cheated a bit here as after 53 attempts with much gnashing of teeth (yes I counted my efforts of futility) at getting a picture with me being reflected in a Christmas ornament, I took certain "liberties" in making that happen. But shhh- You didn't read that here!
We're Here is looking at Self Portrait in a Christmas Ball today.
Reflections off the beautiful still water on the set of The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings in New Zealand.
Eeek, sorry for the very late upload! It doesn't count as tomorrow if I haven't gone to sleep yet, right? Today was incredibly busy but filled with good times. I had woken up feeling terrible, but Kelsey coaxed me out of the house with the proposition of crepes and coffee. We got our coffee (but not the crepes) and talked, then went out for a shoot in this amazing location. It's a spot we've seen before, but today it just looked so magical that we had to venture. Not entirely sure if we were technically on someone's property, but we didn't get yelled at, sooo... After shooting, I went Xmas shopping with my mum, and then to a friend's to have a long and amazing conversation about the nature of the world and how we control the little parts of it that we have. This whole day has been about reflections. Every person I've talked to, and every thought I've had, has been a reflection or a search for meaning. I wanted to shoot something that would, you know, actually have a reflection in it, but I couldn't really figure one out. Perhaps in the future.
I really like how the buildings reflect off this particular one and keep meaning to try capture that when I enter the square for my lunchtime stroll.

I took this the afternoon we got back from CA. We went straight to the beach. The kids each got a ride in on the boogie board, B got stung by a Man-o-war and it started to pour. It was really coming down. There are days like that, even in paradise.
