Reflected in one of the lakes near Frimley, UK. Photo taken on 2007-02-21.

Before the balloons had their problems they drifted majestically accross the new cut...

I noticed the side of a bus shelter which was reflecting the oncoming traffic behind me in the evening light.

OK, not the most inspirational shot I've ever done, but at least I got one for this weeks instruction. I took some more, but this is the only one that turned out. The others were fuzzy and/or totally crap.

our last morning at The Broᴬdmoor Hotel in Colorado Springs...taken from our 3rd floor balcony looking west. The building across the lake is the hotel annex and the residential condominiums.

We had a great time in a beautiful setting

The photo is not post processed except for straightening as the water line was not horizontal. It was taken about 8:10 am (mountain time, my cam is set to CST) with the sun behind the building we were in.

The large version is here

There's a reason for the superscript A in the hotel name. It has to do with pique.

An online pdf of the story of the A can be found here

Vancouver’s Chinese Garden was built in 1985-1986 using the time honored principles and techniques of the original Ming dynasty garden. Fifty-two master craftsmen from Suzhou China, working with Canadian counterparts, completed this landscape masterpiece within a year. The intricate halls and walkways are constructed with precise joinery and without the use of nails, screws or glue. The Garden opened on April 24, 1986.

Based on the principle of collaborative design, the Garden compliments the adjacent public park; enhancing the view in both places.

For the architect, the botanist, the student of history, the lover of beauty, the Garden provides insights into the subtle wonders to be found within the walls of this living treasure.

Good Morning!

This one is from August of 2013 and is of a building in downtown Durham. I had not shared this before, so it is new to you. If you look closely at the reflections you will see me taking the picture.

Cheers,

Wade

Reflect/Reflect, Central Piedmont Community College, Charlotte, NC.

Carved Indiana limestone, fieldstone, water, earthworks, plants. 2004.

"Reflect/Reflect" refers to dual meanings of the word. In an optical sense, the piece is made complete by the reflection in the water of the carved face and fieldstone wall. The work creates a space for personal reflection, with intimate seating for small group discussions or solitary studying. Site work included construction of a wall based on local building materials and traditions.

Reflecting is not a mirror. Therefore what another individual is doing, or how they are expressing, or the choices they are engaging, or the behavior that they express is reflecting some element to you, but it may not be what you are doing. This is the reason that reflecting at times can be confusing. For individuals automatically think that if they are presenting some disturbing manifestation through another individual that they must in some manner be doing some very similar action themselves, inwardly. Which is not always the situation. At times it may be a type of reflection to offer you more information in relation to how you respond, or how you are participating. It may be a reflection to emphasize what you yourself are not doing, or what you are doing in a different manner. And in this it allows you to become more aware.

A reflection of Bridgewater Place, the current tallest building in Leeds (West Yorkshire, United Kingdom).

Taken as part of the Leeds flickr group meetup, pre-meetup-photo-challenge - we were given a list of things to try to take photos of, of which one was a building reflected in another building.

Submitted to the "Guess Where Leeds" group - that it's Bridgewater Place is pretty obvious, the question is, which building is it being reflected in?
