A full day with family today... I snuck away for an hour... took a little time for myself to reflect...
This is why I love colorful kayaks and boats. This was taken this morning at Shelter Island in San Diego on a shoot with the Pacific Photographic Society. I love shooting by the water and always look for colorful reflections and abstract shapes.
Other pictures I've taken that feature scenes from San Diego can be seen in my San Diego set. www.flickr.com/photos/9422878@N08/sets/72157623536348425/

My next building is getting an indoor water feature with lights. There's not a ton of room to work with. The floor of this room is only 4 bricks off the water level outside, so it starts as low as I can go.

Happily sat here reflecting on the joys of dressing as and looking like a woman. This can feel so right at times and so natural, in fact I am having trouble right now to think of anything else I do that creates such pleasure and contentment.
Week Thirty-Nine ~ Reflected Sky
Our lyrical prompt for Week 39 of The Photographer Within's P52 was from Fly Me to the Moon by Frank Sinatra and the lyrics we had to shoot were: "Fly me to the moon." The 121st Annual Comal County Fair was this weekend, and it’s such a big local event that the schools close down on Friday, calling it “Fair Day,” and students get in for free until 6 p.m. The kids thoroughly enjoyed the fair, especially after Dominic won a goldfish and Anna won a parakeet playing midway games! Finn the goldfish is now living in a new 5-gallon tank on Dominic’s dresser. Sky the budgerigar is happily chirping in his new birdcage and goes wherever Anna goes. Anna is completely enchanted with Sky. She spent all day on Sunday talking to him and playing him music videos (he especially likes Katy Perry). I think the kids are ready for the responsibility of our new additions to the family. What a great weekend!
(I owned budgies growing up, so I know what's involved in caring for them.)

This shot was taken from within a hide. By looking at the logbook where people have recorded wildfowl they have seen, early morning or late afternoon is the best time.
