This image way taken on the South Arm of the Alouette River and was captured by boat.
A close up on this peaceful way of living.
I could totally see myself living this life style :)

The castle Rheinsberg is actually a Renaissance castle, though little can tell that tale from just looking at the exterior, or the park - it was all greatly remodeled in the 18th century. One of its most influential inhabitants was prince Henry of Prussia (1726-1802) who lived there after his marriage to Wilhelmine von Hessen-Kassel (who mostly lived in Berlin). He is buried in the park.

The Temple of Asclepius built at the little lake there in the park of Villa Borghese, Rome. The temple building itself is late 18th century (built 1785-1792), but it was built as a home for some ancient sculptures. The statue of Asclepius himself is thought to have come from the Mausoleum of Augustus, and the other, smaller pieces are of Hellenistic date and style.
A Tricolored Heron in breeding plumage foraging in the reflection of mangroves in the Ten-thousand Islands. I saw the reflection on the water and waited for something to show up to photograph.
I captured this image up north at Itasca State Park. Woke up early to catch the sunrise and the beautiful fall colors!
the kruger landscape in the eye of this beautiful woodland kingfisher (halcyon senegalensis).
this bird is a summer (rainy season) visitor in southern africa .
woodlands are related to freshwater but unlike many other kingfishers this one is used to hunt
in to the ground.sometimes they fish too but usually they prey on insects, spiders, lizards, little snakes
and whatever they can overpower with their beak.
sometimes they catch little birds too and were observed to kill medium size mouse that the bird is unable to eat.
this is because their beak can kill the prey but cannot dissect animals like a mouse.
bird size 22/24cm

The river Lagan with the reflection of autumn coloured trees in Värnamo (the place where I grew up).
On a green canvas with reflected patterns, a variety of colors and some movement in the water yielded a scene of which abstract artists might be proud.
I thought the lighthouse at Scarborough harbour looked pretty good in the late afternoon golden light

One from the archives of a wonderful trip through South Australia's vast Flinders Ranges region. This was taken from the jetty at Port Germein and shows the lower part of the Flinders ranges reflecting in the tidal sand flats on what was a lovely thundery day with frequent storms between periods of absolute calm!
Happy Nice Wonderful Clouds Tuesday!

It was a perfect day at Las Gallinas Valley birding loop. Fortunately, we started off in the magical “Golden Hour” which is the photographer’s best friend. This egret was just taking off when we held down the shutter button, locked on, and snapped away as he took off. On average Snowy Egrets live to be about 15 years old. The oldest Snowy Egret on record lived to be 17 years, 7 months old.
