Hatfield forest trees reflected in the water, this is from last year and reborn in LR5. The various angled trees attracted me to this composition.

WE were shooting very near this very large Mud Puddle when this spotted hyaena walked up and just went into it with no thought about it at all. It was pretty hot that day and I'm sure it was just to cool off. Though the water reflects the blue of the sky it is really just as brown as the dirt in the background. Good detail if viewed large. Shot at Amboseli, Kenya.

Another portrait from Belsay. I got quite into the reflection shots, and was pleased with this one. As ever, my obliging boyfriend was patiently posed for this!

At least visitor Whiston is British and is just a bit more attractive than the resident motive power.
2018’s final sunny image near Consall is at the same spot as the first one on New Years day, although the reflection wasn’t quite as good.

Yesterday, I posted a photo of one type of reflection. Today I post another type.
I am preparing for a grand trip to France in September. And I won't be returning here, to this place where I have lived for 20 years. I have talked with my boss and I am beginning to talk with my patients about my departure. I am filled with gratitude for the opportunities that await me in the future, for the support of my family and friends, and for the things that have brought me to this point.
Thank you all for being a part of my journey.

The spring of 2021 in Whitehorse was characterized by a fast melt of record snows. The result was a lot of water everywhere. I took advantage of that in the evening of April 18th by setting my camera on a tripod and taking a number of exposures in front of the Yukon Transportation Museum. As I recall, the evening light was just about perfect, as was the clear sky and the clear water. In the end, I came up with an image that I quite liked.
This is an HDR panorama made from a number of separate exposures. I used the Canon EOS R and EF 17-40 mounted on a heavy duty tripod. Post processing was performed in Adobe Lightroom Classic.

I think the reflection is prettier than the actual sunset in this view.

These reflections are my favorite of the day...it's the pond at the golf course where we did our nature walk. I believe reflecting in the pond are some fronds from the palm trees
