My wife and I had a wonderful excursion to Donnottor Castle in Scotland this past summer. A magical place I can't wait to visit again.

A reflection of the outer harbor breakwater from a window in Motif #1 (The iconic red fish shack on Rockport Harbor.)
The "moon" in the reflection is actually the small porthole window on the other side of the fish shack, which you can see through from big square window.
I wonder if you could actually time this just right to catch a rising moon reflected directly over that porthole... hmm.

How we think shows through in how we act. Attitudes are mirrors of the mind. They reflect thinking.
I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend!
Enjoy the new week ahead!

It has been more than 15 years since I first visited Rockland. Like most other places in scenic mid-coast Maine, the city has undergone not so subtle changes. Popular to tourists seeking new England idylls, the beautiful Penobscot Bay is rimmed with more marinas and boat docks more than ever. Summer is still its busiest season but winter is a different story. It probably is the only time when Rockland still manages to go back to its rustic backwater self.

Alright, enough of the trumpet blowing and showing off, back to the photos, and a few more for last weeks glorious sunrise at Freshwater Bay (actually this was just one of many last week, and definitely not the best day, it was just the day that i managed to make time and escape)
I'm trying to explore different possibilities with each little batch i post, and in todays set i have little play with focus. Feedback and criticism always welcome, i might not always agree with you but its useful to hear it and helps us all when we think about why we take the shots we do :)
